One reason that the American economy is so terrible is high corporate taxes, the highest in the world. This means that corporations doing business overseas leave the profits there because to bring them home is to pay the high taxes. Secondly, corporations leave the USA in order to find lower taxes elsewhere. Others just form corporations elsewhere.

Chief Justice John Marshall said the power to tax involves the power to destroy.

Yep. Our corporate tax ought to be somewhere around 13%. We gotta give business a reason to invest here...a reason to operate in this country again.
