USPP Spokesperson: Incorrect to say we did not use teargas

It is the narrative of those who can be fired by Trump vs video evidence and eye witness testimony of every individual who was there.
Nonsense. It is the manipulative narrative of those who want to foment more unrest and thus sensational news, versus the truth by those who want to restore law and order.

You’ve bent over backwards to ignore the truth right in front of your very eyes in this thread. You still won’t touch his post with the links from the police department. At this point it is simply willful ignorance and you are too far gone to reason with. Goodbye.

I understand you really believe that, even if I may not fully understand why. Anyone blind to the manipulative tactics of media, and especially that of the MSM, and the resultant pressures due to their power and influence, is hardly in a position to straighten out someone else.

GD is right that there are often ulterior motives involved, he just doesn’t acknowledge all of them, not by a long shot, and that is a major problem. And it appears you’re in the same sinking boat.

And just so it's clear, no, I did not try to identify all of the suspect motives involved in all of this mess. The list is probably longer than I know.

Still not specifically addressing the statements from the police that were linked. The police department making a statement is not the media. Nice try. More word salad which reads as a side step to addressing it.

You'll have to read my comment with a lot more comprehension than that evinces to understand what you need to understand in order to understand reality.

Thats a copout....
No, not at all; it's just that I cannot do someone's thinking for them, or even help them understand, if they aren't going to read with comprehension what I post.
... I’m done playing games. If you would like to resume attempting a discourse on this let me know. I’ve had enough of the gaslighting.
Playing games is about all you do. You have not addressed what I directly responded to, only chastised me for not discussing it the way you want to discuss it, which has already been covered. <reworded> That's not discourse. Your tactics are much like the Dems, always accusing of what you yourself are guilty: playing games, gaslighting, deflecting, ad hominem, etc. You may be best at non sequitur, but you haven't really accused me of that, yet, at least not by name.

This video which I posted in the first ammendment thread has quite a bit of evidence to show about this topic, including evidence of the use of CS but not by USPP.

So many words simply to say “I know you are but what am I.” I pointed to a direct link on his post and you haven’t addressed it. If you think you did, show me where.

If you believe the plan did not center around the President you are unbelievably naive.

The rest is you saying lie but without direct evidence to the contrary. You are just parroting Barr at this point. No bias there. :Rolleyes I think we’ve run our course here. Take it easy. And ya I’ve seen water bottles thrown by a dude but he was shouted down pretty quickly by the crowd. It also started after the police advanced. It’s almost like these things go better when the police deescalate instead of escalate. Kind of like Floyd.

We had a march over five hours in Chesapeake, VA. Guess what, the police provided security and traffic control for them and wouldn’t you know it...everybody came out just fine. These police in DC were really enjoying themselves attacking protestors who were actually fleeing. The cop swinging the baton at the girl running away with her back to him was a nice touch. Attacking the camera guy just sitting there.

Of course the MSM plan centers around the president—they hate him and want to undermine him and will gladly undermine the country to do so. Your blind belief in Mainstream Media and Progressive Leftists and mindless acceptance of their divisive incendiary rhetoric will keep you from ever discerning the truth, but that doesn’t seem to be your real interest anyway.

All of the ridiculous niggling that ignores the backdrop of death and destruction by mindless mobs is sure to obfuscate the truth. This wasn’t the first day. These people were not peaceful. These people are unthinking, out of control. They call the police pawns but are themselves pawns of those who want to see chaos reign throughout the nation. And you support them. How telling.

I see you went and found more straw.

I didn’t quote or reference the “main stream media.” Unless you count the Park Police as media now.

And yet more of your willfully blind, idiotic niggling.

I count, not as media but as pawns, anyone and anything that caves to the TDS and Progressive Leftist pressure constantly being exerted, which is aided and abetted in spades by the MSM. Of course, if you had any significant degree of reading comprehension, you would know this already.

After Falsely Claiming Tear Gas Use, Media Now Trying To Pretend Tear Gas And Pepper Spray Are Identical
...
If tear gas and pepper spray are identical and interchangeable, as media now assert, then why were they so hell-bent on exclusively using the term "tear gas"? The answer is obvious. Pepper spray is a common device regularly carried by civilians, often women, to protect themselves from potential predators. You can easily buy it at the store or online. "Tear gas" has a far more incendiary connotation, as it is rarely used by anyone other than authorized law enforcement. The two chemicals are wildly different, though, which is why you will never see law enforcement use tear gas without gas masks because of its debilitating effects on the lungs. Tear gas uses an aerosolized synthetic compound to irritate the lungs and make breathing difficult. Pepper spray and pepper balls, on the other hand, are made from capsicum, the oil that gives vegetable peppers their distinctive flavor.
...
Even just hours ago the media were admitting the specific difference between tear gas and pepper balls as it relates to Monday's protest. MSNBC reporter Garrett Haake, who led the charge regarding tear gas, was insistent that the police had used "tear gas (CS)" and not just "pepper balls and less lethal projectiles." He was specifically asked about why he was so sure about tear gas, and not just pepper balls, and he said it was because of his experience. See here:
....
Why care about getting this particular fact correct? It's worth taking a step back and reviewing the larger situation of how small errors become uncontrollably false political narratives.
...
The media wanted to hammer their political talking point home until it replaced the image of President Trump walking through an area that the night before had been given over to lawless mobs. So repeat they did: Tear gas, peaceful, photo op. Tear gas, peaceful, photo op. Tear gas, peaceful, photo op.
...
The media chose political messaging over factual reporting. And it's not nitpicking to demand precision on these things from an industry that claims to report accurately. Each falsehood by the media was used in a direction that was hostile to those Americans who don't share the dominant media position that America is irredeemably evil.

For people who are adamant that the violent riot portion of protests be downplayed or ignored, even pepper balls are an egregious violation. But for those who see how millions of mistruths pile upon each other to create false narratives that always go in the same political direction, facts still matter and are worth fighting for.

’What I saw was just absolutely wrong’: National Guardsmen struggle with their role in controlling protests

The crowd was loud but peaceful, and at no point did I feel in danger, and I was standing right there in the front of the line,” he said. “A lot of us are still struggling to process this, but in a lot of ways, I believe I saw civil rights being violated in order for a photo op.

“I’m here to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and what I just saw goes against my oath and to see everyone try to cover up what really happened,” the Guardsman continued. “What I saw was just absolutely wrong.”
...
One of the Guardsmen at the scene said the White House isn’t being truthful.

“I’ve been tear gassed before. I was there the night before when we got tear gassed, there was tear gas there” on Monday evening, he said. He added that he and some of his soldiers felt the effects of the tear gas from their colleagues because they didn’t have masks on.

Yep, absolutely wrong, and it started with the extremely violent protesters.

Osterholm said the Guardsmen were ill-prepared for the hate directed at them by the protesters, which was reminiscent of the anti-military sentiment during the Vietnam War. The shift from being viewed as heroes during the coronavirus pandemic to villains suppressing citizens’ right to protest happened overnight, she said.

That’s splitting hairs.
