The left has a winner for control in their hands right now in covid, and there will be 10,000 variants each worse than the “last”, if that is what they think will keep folks scared enough to control.
AFAIC, the only solution is the complete demise of the dem party in ‘22.
Did you listen to Dr Cole’s presentation? He indicated that each new strain is less and less critical than the original. He indicated they are now vaccinating for old strains of the virus as apposed to the new Delta strain which he states is a less malevolent virus ie... its mutating over time. Now if the FDA does site that the vaccines are registered they can only do it through an emergency authorization not a solid listing which is a loop hole they will probably use to get people to believe the listing is solid... when it’s not. They are following weak protocols pushing investigational vaccinations with no other drugs to fight the virus ( where there is evidence to support that other solutions are both effective and less expensive and will work with people with underlying health conditions.

Yes, I am talking about a huge number of people.

23% of COVID-19 Patients Report Long-Haul Symptoms

Sequelae in Adults at 6 Months After COVID-19 Infection (about 33%)

This is from two weeks ago, and the situation isn't any better:
- No pediatric ICU beds available in North Texas (19 counties)
- Overall pediatric hospital capacity is at 94.55% (19 counties)
- More than 73 confirmed pediatric ICU COVID-19 patients
- Today (August 21), we have 3,137 hospitalized COVID-19 patients in North Texas

I doubt that's true, but even if it is, so what?

The way you use it to dismiss concern for the COVID emergency sure is. That survival rate depends upon getting top level medical care, which is getting more difficult to obtain.

I doubt I will get screened until all of this mess is over. If I have an issue, it may well be too late.
The sources you quoted nothing about long term effects of COVID creating “large numbers of invalids”. That is clearly an exaggeration on your part.

The most common “long term effect” was fatigue, problems with smell or taste.

One study mentioned difficulty breathing for several months after recovery. That is expected with any condition that affects the lungs. I had pneuma about 2o years ago. The doctor was very clear that even after I recovered, my lungs would be weakened for 3-6 months. He was spot on. I had shortness of breath and fatigue four about 4 months.

Peace to you

"Large number of invalids" is my interpretation. I have a friend who is a nephrologist who has been working with COVID patients since March 2020. Those who have major kidney issues related to COVID and manage to survive often do not regain kidney function. Many will be on dialysis for the rest of their lives and will not be good candidates for kidney transplants. (I just confirmed this with him last night).

Yes, that's the most common problem. But brain fog (mental acuity issues) remains for an indefinite, possibly permanent basis.

If one has lung issues from COVID, there is a reasonable chance the lungs can be permanently scarred. No one knows what the long-term effects from COVID will be, but scarring doesn't go away.

He referred me to this Lancet article that came out two days ago.

I have a friend who is a nephrologist who has been working with COVID patients since March 2020.

Those who have major kidney issues (related to COVID) {notice the word “related” which not the same as “caused by”}. and manage to survive often do not regain kidney function. Many will be on dialysis for the rest of their lives and will not be good candidates for kidney transplants. (I just confirmed this with him last night).

Yes, that's the most common problem. But (brain fog (mental acuity issues) remains for an indefinite, possibly permanent basis.) {notice the undefined “possible” as well as undefined % of people who experience the “brain fog”.}

(If one has lung issues from COVID, there is a reasonable chance the lungs can be permanently scarred. No one knows what the long-term effects from COVID will be, but scarring doesn't go away.) {notice the “if” and undefined “reasonable chance”}

And so, throughout, the fear mongering of “possible” hurried long term effects designed to scare everyone into compliance.
