"Vince McMahon is retiring as World Wrestling Entertainment chairman and CEO, he announced Friday. In a WWE news release, the 76-year-old McMahon further announced that his daughter, Stephanie, and current WWE president Nick Khan will be taking over as co-CEOs. Stephanie, who has been acting as interim CEO, will also take over as chairwoman, per the McMahon statement. ...

McMahon built WWE into a billion-dollar brand with a worldwide reach, a promotion that stood tall over the decades against its competition. However, on June 17, McMahon stepped down from his role as chairman and CEO in the wake of a Wall Street Journal report that revealed a WWE board investigation into a secret $3 million settlement given by McMahon to a former WWE paralegal. Stephanie took over as interim CEO. ...

It was also announced by WWE on Friday that McMahon's son-in-law and Stephanie's husband, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, was returning to the company as head of talent relations, though it was immediately unclear if that is related to McMahon retiring. The Wall Street Journal followed up with another report about alleged McMahon improprieties on July 8. The newspaper reported that the board was investigating $12 million given to four former WWE employees or contractors to silence allegations about McMahon's sexual misconduct."

He destroyed regional wrestling

Fortunately, the WWE has major competition from All Elite Wrestling(which I watch all 4 of their weekly shows) and Ring of Honor, which the owner of AEW, Tony Khan recently purchased and is rebooting. Also, there is Impact Wrestling, which is my favorite promotion, and their two weekly shows that I watch. There are also some smaller promotions, such as Major League Wrestling(MLW), as well as a growing independent wrestling company called Game Changer Wrestling(GWC) and several other independent promotions as well.

I don't watch much WWE as I don't care much for their product. I did watch their NXT show from around April to August 2021 when Karrion Kross was on it, but I stopped watching it when they changed to NXT 2.0.

Very good preview of tonight's Ring of Honor's pay-per-view, "Death Before Dishonor".

The 1-hour pre-show(Zero Hour) before tonight's Ring of Honor pay-per-view will be available here at 7:00PM EDT. It is free. Wrestling pay-per-views usually have pre-show available hoping that people will watch it and then decide to buy the pay-per-view before it starts. I have already purchased it on Bleacher Report instead of on my cable as Bleacher Report keeps it available for 72 hours, so I can watch something again if I want to.

This is the best wrestling match I have ever watched so far in my life - from the Ring of Honor "Supercard of Honor" a few months ago. FTR and the Briscoes have a rematch, 2 out of 3 falls, this evening at the Ring of Honor "Death Before Dishonor" pay-per-view.
