Must have been because I was given all sorts of nasty-gram messages the several times I tried to log on to BB.

I wish that in the future the "powers that be" on BB would give us some notice that BB is going down for whatever reason(s) and the approximate time(s) BB will be "returned to service."

I've got better things to do with my time than to just sit and wait, and wait, and wait, etc., ad nauseum, for BB to get back in service!

They had database issues. Those are errors involving the back end of the the site which make the site go down and they are never planned. Andrew rarely has them and it seems they may be related to the recent maintenance.

Okay.

Having had to deal with "routine maintenance" issues when I was with BellSouth/AT&T, I can easily identify with the potential to cause all sorts of griefs, sorrows, and woes for people who have to put up what sometimes [always ] can happen!

Especially those "openly transparent/totally-non-service-affecting" ones!! :BangHead:

Don't post on FB, like getting a tattoo down the road you will regret it.

Please explain why I should regret ever posting on Facebook.

I've used it to communicate with my friends, keep up with activities at my church, share prayer requests with people who probably would never use BB, and many other things as well.

I've been on it for years, and so far I haven't been subject to any abuse or harassment, etc.

Granted, you have to use the common sense that God gave you when posting on it (or any other form of so-called "social media").

I mean, I don't post my unlisted phone number for all to see. Nor do I include any other information that could jeopardize me.

I don't have a family, so I don't need to monitor "their usage," but if I did have underage children, I sure would monitor what they are posting as well as what they're receiving.

If someone is stupid enough to post information that could hurt either themselves, their family, their friends, their career, etc., then they deserve to get "bitten" for it.

God gave us a brain for a purpose. If we don't use it, then that's nobody's fault but your own.

You know what I do when the BB is down? I do other things. Then when I have a chance, I check back.

I happen to have a functional ministry on FB. One that includes a world wide day of prayer each month. Been holding this for ver two years now, and we now have more than 400 FB Christian groups participating and considering all the members in these groups, we reach a half million people each month with this invitation to join us in prayer!

So, I say, "To each their own!" There may be negatives about FB, but from where I stand, or should I say, sit and type, this is a great avenue to share Jesus and speak Jesus with a lot of people I'd never thought possible.

For instance, I love having friends of Jesus from Africa, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Russia to name a few!

FB provides for me one of the largest prayer chains ever know to man! I love cyber space when properly used!

I have only had one main problem. A friend of my wife ( He is extremely liberal) was posting politics on our city "fun" page. One of the rules of that page is NO political posts. Since he kept making posts about politics, esspecially ones meant to irritate me. So I simply blocked him. . I can handle those insulting posts, but I wanted to follow the rules. - but what's interesting - is that he refused to join the city political page because I am the admin. He gave the excuse that I would delete most of his posts. I explained to him that one of my other admins is so liberal she makes Obama look like a conservative!
