OK... so then our nemesis is China and Russia? If so, then why are we borrowing from them and cozying up?
I don't know, President Trump is an optimist.

However President Trump has been know to run out of optimism and niceness with people and may become very confrontational with nations as well.

When the showdown comes I expect an alliance with Russia, China and Iran - throw in No. Korea and Syria maybe.

Terms of Service Violation.

I used to think President Trump might pre-emptively start WWIII but now I believe it will start indirectly by the antagonism of Trump being Trump.

"Nemesis"? With President Trump at the helm we do have the possibility of winning WWIII - 700 billion for defense this year, 715 billion next... unless of course it ushers in the battle of Armageddon then Jesus Christ wins.

My opinion.

China is providing the loans...so should they become upset with Trumps reduculious trade war and decide to call in those loans, then check mate... no more money to finance defense spending. It is within the realm of possibilities. Now would they dare to do that and risk their own economic loss?!? Well Trump will have to ask his democratic chief of economic stratigest

Because war is an insanity that drives even the most stable to do crazy, illogical and irrational things.

Then they are fools. If there are angels I believe they denounce fools more than any other criminal. Also , in the future and beginning now, that America will be ruled—and ultimately destroyed by fools.

A poem by Michael Rosen

" A family arrived and said that they had papers
to prove that his house was theirs.
- No, no, said the man, my people have always lived here.
My father, grandfather ... and look in the garden,
My great-grandfather planted that.
- No, no, said the family, look at the documents.

There was a stack of them.

- Where do I start? said the man.
- No need to read the beginning, they said,
Turn to the page marked 'Promised Land'.
- Are they legal? he said. Who wrote them?
-God, they said, God wrote them, look
here come his tanks."

Nobody wins WWIII. It will be the final nuclear holocaust. I suppose you could say all genuine Christians win because we will be going home to be with the Lord.

The US has been waging nuclear war since WW2, particularly by the use of DU weapons that render the land & people, including US military personnel affected radioactive, resulting in serious birth defects.

I'm not so sure about Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) anymore - that is in terms of property destruction which the plunder thereof is the rewards of war no?

I have no doubt we (and others) have detonating devices which exploded (or imploded) above the target would only kill flesh creatures with no property damage.

Then there are bio and radioactive war devices and methods to kill by disease (i.e. small-pox, black plague, and some modern horror shows, etc...) and poisoning thereby retaining the spoils intact.

Yes it seems war has outdone hell.

I know for a fact that we had a first-strike plan in the late 60's-early 70's. My ex-wife was formerly married to an Air Force pilot who flew B 52 nuclear war simulations over N. Dakota.

He wasn't talking about a first strike. Besides, I could one-up the B52 nuclear war thing but I won't.

I know that during the Cuban Missile Crisis a Russian Sub commander (out of radio contact with his superiors) ordered to fire their nuclear weapons. However, Russian protocol was that all 3 of his subordinates had to agree. Two agreed but one did not. That one Russian commander saved the world from a nuclear holocaust.
