Was C.S. Lewis a christian?

There is a recipe for Turkish delight in the copy of the book that my kids have. A google search came up with a recipe here:

She uses orange juice in hers. I remember making it as a child and we used only lemon juice.

I loved the new movie and I think it had a very positive impact on my kids. When we watch it as adults we can understand all the allegory and pictures of spiritual truths but kids usually just enjoy the story. When we watched it at home my 6 year old son (who has not accepted Christ yet) turned to me right after Aslan came back to life and said, “That’s just like Jesus isn’t it?” And I did not coach him or anything. It was nearly Easter so we had been talking about the risen saviour and all, but by 6 year old figured that out for himself.

C.S. Lewis had some skewed views as most of us do in life on certain things. We are Christian, but not perfect. We're sinners...striving to be sin-less. I truly believe C.S. Lewis to be Christian. I've read many of his books. I don't agree with everything he writes, but his writings contain very deep-seated Christian beliefs.
Has anyone ever seen the movie "Shadowlands" about C.S. Lewis and his life? It's 10+ years old but a very good insight to a certain aspect of his life.

My six year old son said the same thing after seeing the movie for the first time. We bought the special edition DVD when it came out, it is a great movie! Looking forward to reading all seven of the books with my sons.
