No one can say for sure. Personally, I feel that it was either mental illness or drug addiction. Seems that a demon would have had her drive off the end of a pier or park the vehicle on a train track with the train bearing down - something more sure fire than driving into the ocean in front of potential rescuers..

I always cringe when people attribute violent acts to mental illness, as the vast majority of the mentally ill population is more likely to be a victim of violent crime than a perpetrator... But, she may have been.

Well, I would hope for the former, but more realistically would expect the latter!!
