You will one day ... when you get to heaven. Until then, you are not hurting yourself spiritually to read, study, and trust, the KJV and to believe it is the Word of God. You are however, hurting the body of Christ by spreading false teaching concerning the KJV. That is what I would caution you against. Read you KJV, love it, memorize it, study it; do not denigrate the Word of God in other translations however.

The reason this rubbish is such a flighty issue is because people like ['Kevo,' for one] love to "sow seeds of doubt about the Bible they read, obey, and believe"-- 'they' being those who know God understands any language of any era, anywhere, anytime.

I recently received a trilogy of books by David King and William Webster refuting the Roman Catholic objections to sola scriptura. I have had a chance to read the first volume, which is a biblical defense of the doctrine and a refutation of popular Romanist misconceptions.

In a chapter titled "Scripture: The Only Certain Norm," King shows how Romanist apologists often exploit the variations in the manuscript tradition of the Scriptures, employing skepticism to undermine sola scriptura. (By contrast, King shows how the text of Scripture is overwhelmingly certain.) The funny thing was, here they are refuting Catholic doctrine, and all I could think of all the way through the chapter was "KJV-onlyism."

I have to wonder sometimes whether the KJV-onlyists employ these doubt-casting tactics ignorant that they are undermining sola scriptura, and hence the very Scriptures they purport to be defending.

There is always the possibility that they are wolves creeping in unawares, as well.
