An investigative journalist behind much of the original Watergate scandal reporting dropped a bombshell this week about Attorney General William Barr’s rumored effort to expose the deep state.

Carl Bernstein, who earned his fame by uncovering the massive scandal involving a break-in at the Watergate complex and the ensuing cover-up, revealed in a CNN interview Thursday what his sources say Barr is preparing to do.

“Barr is trying to deliver — and I have this, as do other reporters from other sources — to deliver evidence that perhaps this has all been a deep state conspiracy like Donald Trump alleges,” Bernstein, a CNN political analyst, said.

The recent “whistleblower” complaint, like the fault-ridden Steele dossier before it, has been accused of being nothing more than part of the leftist establishment’s plot to depose President Donald Trump.

While it appears Bernstein is no fan of Trump, it’s likely that the veteran journalist has trustworthy sources.

"And why?" he added. "Well, partly because the President of the United States recognizes that there is in this whistleblower's documents terrible evidence of the President's corruption."

Can somebody tell me how seeking out and using the Steele Dossier was not foreign interference but Trump's phone call was?

What is really telling about all of this is that the President of Ukraine said he was not pressured and that statement is being completely ignored. In fact the dems and specifically Schiff who completely misrepresented the phone call still asserts that Trump pressured him. Schiffs so called "parody" aside from being completely inappropriate was claimed to be a representation of how the President of Ukraine perceived Trumps request.

Give the dems claims they have nothing.

This is what the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign did when they paid research firm Fusion GPS and former British intelligence operative Christopher Steele to compile a dossier of uncorroborated raw “intelligence” — some of it derived from Kremlin sources — that fueled allegations that their opponent was colluding with a foreign power to steal the presidential election in 2016.

It was the DNC and Clinton campaign that passed information that had been garnered from overseas sources to Obama administration intelligence and law enforcement agencies, which then used the “evidence” to bolster secret warrants and send “cloaked investigators” to infiltrate the Trump campaign.

What an uptick on leftist shtick always happens here during heightened attacks on the current administration. They are not so prevalent when the discussion centers on what the democrats actually stand for. They can’t, as Christians, even defend their party’s actual platform. They just know they hate Trump, oh, they won’t admit that, wouldn’t be Christian to do so, but they deceive themselves.

In the meanwhile, they, & you know who I’m talking about, pull out ‘Christian’ shaming over someone’s description of clothing worn by one of the squad. This is how they believe they win the day. It is a classic move on the part of leftists. They should ask themselves what they are really supporting. I’ll say it again.......delusional.

I'll believe it when I see it. As of this moment, and in the face of overwhelming evidence that there is a conspiracy to remove the president, he has done nothing. I will continue to believe that Barr is another swamp creature until proven otherwise.

Because the media wants to protect their Democrat friends. They never want to ask the tough questions like: Why didn't the DNC want to FBI to do a check of their computer systems concerning the Russian interference in our elections? The Republicans readily assented to an FBI investigation of their computers. Or they never play the tape of Biden boasting of how he got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired by threatening to withhold the 1 billion in U.S. aid money.
