According to the mandate of the Great Commission, the Christian Community is NOT charged with "saving" the world..., so why are so many trying to do just that? Christians have been charged with spreading the Gospel. To tell everyone of Jesus.

Why then do churches and out-reach efforts begin with an attitude of trying to convert these folks?

No wonder we turn so many people off.

Jesus gave the command to make disciples and that takes time. I agree with you in that too many Christians are trying to get the right politicians in office and that if somehow that is done then the world will be a kingdom on earth. It would be my guess that a lot more were coming to Jesus and praying during The Great Depression.
