I am assuming that "Eesho M'sheekha" is some sort of phonetic spelling of the Hebrew for "Jesus, Messiah."

Sorry if I am slow on the uptake today, but why the link to an Islamic website?

I didn't know what the word was either until I did an internet search and found that website. That is why I posted it, because Jim had asked what it was. It was merely a point of information.

First I want you to know that you are <personal attack snipped>, leading people to beleive that Eesho is Arabic name for Jesus. Well check out this website that scholarly refutes that website, and that website is called "Answering Islam" in which I'm 5 year member.

Now why don't you hear it for yourself and understand that Aramaic is before Hebrew and Arabic. Do your etymology studies!

http://www.learnassyrian.com/aramaic/church/church.html

Furtheremore my wife is from Kerala India which is greatly influence by the Assyrian Orthodox Church, infact India refers to his Aramaic name when mentioning him, EESHO. And not what you <personal attack snipped> people love to call him because the false Jews call him by his Septuagint name, Yeshua! You guys must have been watching that Mel Gibson Passion of the Christ <crudity snipped>!

I think you are the most <personal attack snipped> person on this site. I feel sorry for you!

I read the whole article. It's a lie. It contradicts itself. Typical WND style. The "article" (which is a commentary designed to be passed off as a news item) makes the claim that Jesus is absent in the White House. It takes snippets that don't mention Christ from different events and weaves them together to paint an artificial picture. Classic WND. Report facts in a manner which does not necessarily reflect the truth.

Interesting. My fiancee is Punjabi Indian (first generation American). In fact, we are planning a trip to Punjab after we get married, to visit her relatives.

Now, back to the topic. I was able to verify that your earlier reference is indeed the Aramaic version of "Jesus Christ" (to be specific, it's the Aramaic form of Jeshua the Messiah).

I think you're going way overboard in your comments to JB, however. There is an Arabic form of the same thing, used by Islam (as well as Arabic Christians), and without knowing what you were referring to, JB posted information as he understood it. There's no need for you to be so brazen in your posts.

After the moderators get finished with Ronald's posts it's like listening to comments on the radio where they have to bleep out words and phrases.

Really, Ronald, this is a Baptist Christian board. Please act like it.

On the topic of the thread, we didn't elect President Bush to be pope-in-chief, but commander-in-chief to fight the war against al Qaeda. Let's not lose sight of the ball here, folks.

Learned long ago that WND is not trustworthy. It's sad that they skew things so much, there's plenty out there that is unchristian without them having to exaggerate it or put it where it isn't. :(
Using them as a source of accurate information is irresponsible. They lack integrity in journalism just as much as Fox.

You people take the cake. God won a great election for us, gave us a better president than Very Leftward and all you people want to do is gripe and complain. Not all Christians are the same, and the President has to walk a political tight rope on this issue. Have you witnessed how the media is attacking fundamental Christians after the election, it's now open season on us! My hope is in the Lord not in the White House, but at least we have a Prsident who gives a little more than lip service to the Christian right.

Having lived through eight horrible years of the Clinton Adm, the Bush Adm is a refreshing change.
We are commanded to pray for our leaders. Instead of griping why don't you spend a few minutes a day praying for President Bush. The heart of the King is in the hand of the Lord.

[/QUOTE]Please don't make excuses for him! HE DID NOT POST IT AS HE UNDERSTOOD IT! He siad that he had to research it, and anyone on this web site can type in the word "Eesho", and find that it is Aramiac. But what he did as a jab to me because I exposed him and his "Ronald Reagan Noble Peace Prize Nomination" as pregudice, was post a lie about that name that anyone whom knows bible study knows that Eesho and the Apostles spoke in Aramaic!

I wish some of you stop making excuses for others just becuase they're Baptist. That man said "I didn't know what the word was either until I did an internet search and found that website". You mean to tell me that he did an internet search and only found a website that posted and article (Islamic Debate Article as a matter of fact) on the name of Jesus in Aramaic? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! [IMG] Stop making excuse because he's a longtimer on the site and I'm new, please!

As you have stated there is an Arabic form.

Phonecian, Aramaic, Hebrew, and Arabic is the etymological order. Eesho (aramaic), Yeshua (hebrew), Isa (arabic) is the order! Learn the pronunciation below.

So, the nativity / Jesus figurine must have to be searched for instead of being prominent - STILL A SHAME!

BTW, I've never found one thing on WND that wasn't credible to all of you naysayers. I would like to see evidence that what they are reporting is false. Please do start a thread and point out these lies. The editor is a born-again Christian and I would certainly HATE to think he is being accused justly. :(

Ronald, as you apparently do not read pm's this is being posted on the open forum.
Your posts are not becoming of a believer. They are harsh and seem to be meant to provoke tempers instead of conversations.
Please reconsider your words BEFORE they are posted on this forum. Not doing so will lead to a temporary suspension of your account, and possibly being banned from the forum.

Ronald,

Not everyone knows Aramaic and certainly not me. I do know some Hebrew, but not Aramaic. When I did an internet search, I came up with only five different websites. I chose the first one on the list, looked at it, and from what I knew about the words, (which was pretty much absolutely nothing)the website looked reasonable. However if you don't believe what I say, here is the link to the search results:

http://search.yahoo.com/bin/search?p=Eesho%20M'sheekha

The second website in the list has the title at the top of the page: Islam & Jesus the Messiah (Issa al-Masih).

The third website is: Order of
Nazorean Essenes
A Buddhist Branch of Original Christianity: Seeking to Explore
& Restore the Ancient Vegan, Gnostic & Tantric Teachings of Yeshu, Miryai & Mani

The fourth website shows up as being unavailable or removed on my browser.

The last website is a different section of the first website. My guess is their conclusions are the same as the first.

There was no attempt on my part to insult you. Sorry you took it that way. Please don't be so hostile to others. As Bush would say, that's just not the Spirit of Christmas... [IMG]

First I do not celebrate Christmas, and no I'm not a Jehovahs Witness or any other other group. Now you say "not everyone knows Aramaic and certainly not you," well I see that Israeli flag with your photo and I am very sure you know that Eesho and the Apostles Spoke Aramaic. It was there regional Language and not Modern Yiddish-Hebrew! So it is an insult to injury for you to clearly claim ignorance of this fact while living in Israel! How old are you? And you say that you are a Christian but do not know the fundemenatl facts About My Lord and My God, while living in Israel. It's like someone not knowing that British English is the root of American English and that British English is Germanic.

If you wanted to informed others of the truth of Eesho M'sheekha's name, then it is my believe that you would have told the truth because the ROOT of ALL MODERN-DAY YIDDISH-HEBREW speaking people know the root of their Language is ARAMAIC. Now you may not admit that you know, but I ALSO know that Israeli's JEWS know as well that Eesho was not born in the Winter!

I have listed below an Informative site for anyone that wants the truth about Hebrew and ARAMAIC.

Notice that the "ORIGINAL HEBREW" is "SAMARITAN", and the FACT that "ARAMAIC" Does not come from HEBREW!

Now there is a "Neo-HEBREW" that came from "ARAMAIC" as you will see, and that Hebrew is The Hebrew-YIDDISH Spoken today. So the Hebrews speakers of the New Testament Root Language is ARAMAIC, and not the Hebrew that ABRAHAM spoke, which is Samaritan! I also want to point out that the Ancient Hebrews (Abraham) were not Jews! I think it is relevant because most like to associate or call Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac and Jacob, Jews, when historically it is a lie to do so!

Now you can learn and spread it around.

I do not live in Israel. Please take a look at where I am from at the bottom of my post. The Israeli flag is there because my ancestors are polish Jew and I identify with Israel as an ethnic Jew. I know the fundamental facts about Jesus without knowing Aramaic. Amazing, isn't it?

Merry Christmas.

I did not say that you had to know ARAMAIC to know Eesho did I?

But before you Associate him with Islam and Arabic you should find out the truth of what you posted. Most of you will call Him Yeshua because the Jews do. Did you not see that "Pennsylvania Jim's" thought that his name was from the Koran????????????? But if I were to use "YESHUA", he or anyone else on this site would not have said "what the heck is Eesho"! But I guess they would prefer to use Somehting out of the EVIL Babylonian TALMUD, and the "Septuigant", Yeshua! "My People Are destroyed for lack of Knowledge". Aint' that the truth LORD!

So I know you wanted a reaction, and your GOT ONE from Pennsylvania Jim. Happy now!
