TP, I hear all the time we can't judge a person unsaved, so it goes to figure we can't judge a person saved, either. If A-Pal calls Rush Limbaugh a pill-poppin' fatso, why doesn't he call ANS one, as well ?

She was a mess, in life, and left a mess, in death. She lived only for herself, for many, many years. Apparently, having a baby didn't stop the drug use. I'm quite sure, that if I hadn't stopped cocaine & codeine after my daughter was born, I'd be gone, unsaved. I think like me, this baby was her last chance.

It is a real tragedy, a shame, and we shouldn't look for silver inings. We should hold her as what she is, a glaring example of how not to live.

(And I like you, as well.)

No - DonnA said "if a person wants noting to do with church or christianity, how can we do anything about it? we can not force them, or force ourselves on them."

You said "Christian individuals can be loving, helpful and compassionate in a time of need without forcing anything on anyone."

I then said "And then there are people who just will not accept that loving, helpful, compassionate care and it's not our fault if they don't."

You said "Who did that, though?"

I was not thinking specifically of ANS when I said "I know of numerous people personally." Meaning that I know of numerous people who were caring and compassionate in a time of need and they were turned away by a needy person. Just because you're willing doesn't mean your help will be accepted. How do we know that no one from a church tried to help ANS? Or that someone DID? I personally don't know but I DO know that God was there for her no matter what. By having her say that Jesus is her Lord and Savior doesn't mean He really is. What fruit was there in her life to attest to such? Now, I'm not saying that she WASN'T saved and it could have been something that she was working on recently or not but the fruit of someone's life is a testimony to the state of their heart. Her behavior and actions tell of someone who's broken and searching - not someone who has found her Savior.

So overweight people cannot be saved? Drunks? Stupid people?

I wouldn't be so proud of your language, either. I can't see Christ saying what you did.

I can't see him honoring this woman's life. And I can picture him calling her foolish, drunk, and a poor steward of her earthly body.

I don't know where you get that picture from, then. Surely not Scripture. Honoring the life lived (sanctification) is different than honoring the moment of justification.

    Matthew 7

[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
