After seven years of insanity, so maybe not the best illustration. (Though it shows how hard it is for many of us - starting with me - to pay heed to what God has said. As with the story of the farmer's stubborn donkey, sometimes it takes a club to the head to get our attention.)

To argue by analogy is weak anyway and in this case the idea that Nebuchadnezzar and Trump are the same is foolish for many reasons. An old saying is that with a quart of whiskey and the Book of Daniel one can prove anything.

Rum would have better results.

That you can use such verbiage without fear of the Gulag or firing squad, disproves your statement. My wife grew up in the Soviet Union as an Evangelical Christian-Baptist. She can tell you tales of tyranny.

Why do you think that Americans are so gullible that they admire monsters such as Fidel Castro, Raul Castro, Che Guevara, and Ho Chi Min, for examples? Che was a real wierdo psycho who said, "My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood!…Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any surrendered enemy that falls in my hands! With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!…I’d like to confess, papa, at that moment I discovered that I really like killing.”

Yet Che has a new popular energy drink named after him:

"Che Guevara Energy Drink" (named because Che "embodies the spirit of FREEDOM!" according to the company) Proudly Sponsored French auto race Tour De Corse! | Babalú Blog

AMEN, AMEN, and AMEN!!!
I find it such hypocrisy that the left claims Trump is so "Stalinesque/Hitleresque/dictatorish etc., yet they are so willing to denigrate the one who wields such power that he could yell "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS" and it would be a done deal.

Best way to describe this delusion (IMHO) is that the libs brains never matured beyond the 5YO development stage.

Your post is evidence that reality is an unknown facet of the left!!

Don't know if you like Bill Gaither, Tim Lovelace, Jake Hess, Rex Nelon, George Younce, and Willie Wynn:

Keep Jesus Out of Your Socialism

The headline of the full-page ad asks, "What Would Jesus Cut?—A budget is a moral document." The text continues, "Our faith tells us that the moral test of a society is how it treats the poor."

The ad was produced by Sojourners, a self-described "evangelical" organization whose slogan is "Faith in Action for Social Justice." The ad was signed by Sojourners president Jim Wallis and more than two dozen Religious Left pastors, theologians, and activists. They urge our legislators to ask themselves, "What would Jesus cut?" from the federal budget.

How would you answer that question? My answer would be, "It's a nonsense question. Your premise is faulty. Your priorities are not His priorities."

Jesus had many opportunities to confront the Roman government about its spending priorities. It was, after all, one of the most brutal regimes in history. If the question "What would Jesus cut?" has any biblical relevance, we should be able to cite instances where Jesus lectured the Roman oppressors the same way the Religious Left lectures America.

I'm not a socialist. I suggest that you keep Jesus out of your Republican party.

I think the religious left and their doctrine of the full belly mishandle their analogies constantly. It is as if they really don't understand Scripture and go off on tangents. In this thread, it is crazy to say that Trump is persecuting Jews when he has a Jewish daughter and Jewish grandchildren. The Israelis are going to name a subway stop after Trump because of his friendship with them.

At any rate Nebuchadnezzar saw the light and worshipped the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

This passage of scripture touches many of the points of contention here: hungry and thirsty (helping needy with food), took in strangers (immigrants), sick (providing health insurance and support for the poor), etc. Which side do Republicans stand on by taking these things away?
*****************************************************************************************************************************

[Mat 25:31-40 KJV] 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

I see you being a good "Evangelical-Republican" hypocrite.

The Democrats just got a big increase in social spending for no good reason but let everyone notice that they are still smearing everyone and trying to use Scripture to smear people with. No one is being thrown into furnaces and the President's daughter is Jewish and the President is popular with Israel, something that Obama and Clinton are not for their policies. It is Obama who is close friends with Nation of Islam and it is Carter and Clintons who take a lot of money from Islamists and the Clintons who got $500,000 from Russia for a "speech." The Religious Left does not impress anyone with Scripture and there is no evidence that they use it among themselves.

And remember that the Republicans are now outspending the Dems across the board.

Yeah, it's nuts. We need to dump our Congressional leadership and put in people who want to save money, don't we? Trump needs to study parliamentary law so that he can tell Congress how to stop this destructive spending spree.
