Weight Issues

yes yes. food is VERY EXPENSIVE in europe... they're very heavy on taxes, i recon.

I noticed that beef costs about as much in Britain as does in Singapore and the thing is, ALL our beef is imported. That's sad in a country with so many farms that they don't get their own produce so easily.

We just got home from vacation, and boy was it hard not to cheat. Now that I am home, I am sooo glad I didnt give in.

Best wishes!
As of last week, I had lost 15 pounds.

Keep praying for self control!

I wonder what's the difference?

The answer to that might be the answer a lot of us are looking for.

BTW - I've been on South Beach Diet since May 25 and have lost 21 pounds. I'm 6'1" and now weigh 207 - still want to get down in the 180's at least.
In some countries--many countries--walking is more accepted than in America.

Plus, their food isn't as processed as American food.

what do you typically snack on?

I learnt one trick about snacking. Buy the small packets... or don't even buy them? sometimes, my fridge is just empty coz i buy just enough for cooking meals....

Could you describe what's the "South Beach Diet"?

Thankful

I really dont snack much, but if I HAVE to have snack, I snack on strawberries, blueberries, nuts, or a spoon of peanut butter.

Not anymore. Actually, after I started seeing results in my clothes and on the scale, it motivated me more. Now that I am down 73 pounds, there's no way I'm gonna break now. I feel great, and I feel so much better about myself. I think the key, though, is finding a way of eating you can live with. I cannot live on just salad. So I found a new lifestyle for me, but it doesnt work for everyone. And give it some time. After a couple of months when you have to bu some new clothes, you'll be recharged!!!

Best Wishes, Saggy. I KNOW the struggle. And I havent arrived at my goal weight - I had over 100 to lose. But dont give up!! It might take a year of your life to get the weight off, but you'll probably be adding on years to your life by doing so. Let me know if I can help in any way!!
