Well I'm back but I had to take a vacation, and I have my computer to thank... IT CRASHED BIGTIME!... So I looked on my wife computer and called the geek squad in our area... Their motto... We can't fix it you don't pay!... Sounded like a winner to me, so I called them and they sent someone out... He went through all the procedures and after checking and rechecking, turned to me and said... YOUR HARD DRIVE IS TOAST... After backing up all the info he could save... Then he said the company will send someone out and I asked him, since you saved all my stuff and put them on disc and you know my computer, having work on it, will I get you?... He said well I can't promise that... Well we all know the scripture, You have not cause you asked not... So I asked... Do you do work on the side?... He said I can... So I hired him.

I went to find the part I needed and thought I could get it at Best Buy but they had only one left and they wanted $150 for it?... I looked on line before I went a they had some for $50 bucks online, so I called the guy I hired and he came back to the house and helped me order one... It came to a little more than $60 and it came yesterday and he installed it today and I'm back... He is coming back Sunday, to finish what he started by getting what he can from the corrupted hard drive... And work on my wife's computer a little, its slow... So if I have problems again, I've got a go to guy... Now I need to check around to see if you all have been behaving yourselves... TYNDALES BACK!... And his sidekick... Brother Glen

I have been buying WDC ssd instead of mechanical drives for the last 3 times, and they are fast and hopefully more reliable. So far no failures, but I dont have drives fail often anyway. I image the disk over using Macrium Reflect free for home use.

So they were Pre...The Millennials or Generation Y was from 1981-1996 and the Post Millennials are Generation Z was from 1982-2012... This Generation is Generation Alpha and I have lived thru everyone, so I guess I'm a A-Millennialist and I'm waiting for the one who is REIGNING NOW!...The ALPHA and the OMEGA to take me home... Steve I read it by Sam Storms and am looking at it now... it was an interesting read as I recall but after reading it I heard a friend of mine who is also a preacher Joe Holder make this comment in a gleaning series on Revelation that I read... Who were the first hearers John was addressing?... What concern would they have of a future event 2,000 years after their lifetime?... Zilch!

After I read Kingdom Come, since this has more or less been my life's passion understanding Revelation, I read another that he recommended and it literally blew me away... I suggest you get it and I highly recommend it as you will see the book of Revelation from an historical perspective and understand the book of Revelation as never before... I had a Greek professor once that told us there were two keys to understanding Revelation.

The first is that John doesn’t write in chronological order. John writes in themes. My analogy is like a storm system we can watch on radar, it slowly moves in a specific direction, but John constantly circles back to add to or elaborate on themes he has already presented.

The second key to understanding Revelation is understanding the great throne judgement that begins with finding someone worthy to break the seals on the scroll. (small wax seals)

In ancient Roman society, it was common and great theater for the King to visit an area and sit in judgement at the judgement seat.

They heard all kinds of cases, but only two types of cases had seven seals: Wills and death penalty cases had seven seals, that contained seven types of information in the case.

The scroll containing the information would had little strips that summarized the contents of that section. Each area was sealed with a small wax seal, opened by someone worthy.

The case would be presented in open court. Someone worthy would open each seal and the summary of that section would be read to the King. Once all seals were opened, the case in full would be heard, beginning with the first section.

This kind of setting was perfect for John who liked to write in themes, circling back to elaborate on themes already introduced.

So, everything after the opening of the seventh seal is an elaboration of themes presented with the opening of the first seal.

Of course, it ends with the final judgement of the King.

Yes I definitely see validity in that approach... And some know me on here more than others, what they don't know is I am 3rd generation Primitive Baptist and I grew up in church... Okay now what does that have to do with the subject we are discussing?... Plenty... In over my time in church, in all the years and all the preaching I've heard, NEVER did I ever hear a preacher bring up the millennial reign of Christ... What I did hear is Jesus Christ is sitting on the right hand of God... Reigning Now!

I heard in the book of Revelation, if I preacher went there a spiritual application of the book, directed to those who were listening in the congregation, and what this text meant to them in their Christian walk, in the here and now... The same message that was first heard by John, giving comfort to those Christians going through intense persecution in their time... Which if truth be told in pales in comparison to our trials and tribulation we face... But saying that theirs were as real as ours are as real but in these times of heartaches and sorrow and knowing that our victory is in Christ... Come what may!

The book of Revelation in all my studies because I didn't have all the other garbage to cloud it up, never being exposed to it, it is 1st Century Historical with a spiritual application... Oh it was literal, there is no doubt about that but by the satanic inventions of men they have turned this beautiful book into an end of times Hollywood, Fantasy Horror Story Adventure flick... Where Jesus wins in the end as we all participate in the battle of Harmaggedon and defeat Satan and his demons... Sorry I get this way sometimes... What I don't understand in all the time I've been here is, why don't brethren check this out for themselves and see where these doctrines came from?... NO!... Yep. And I poked a turtle with my rod (not some strange thing Biden would say...I actually poked a turtle with my rod and watched him swim away). Such is fishing excursions when you get old. 4 inch bluegill and poking turtles.

I'm just glad I remembered the way home.

So I have to start all over!... Oh well 'c'est la vie'... Hey you old timers, remember when the BB was infested with um, naughties, late one night?... Thanks for that Steve... This reminded me of a preacher friend of mine Elder Amos Todd, long gone to be with the Lord... Elder Amos used our church one time for a large meeting and invited a lot of black preacher like himself, and i was there... What a meeting... Those black brethren before the meeting was over raised the roof, not like us white folk who sit around and listen, they talk back to the preacher as the preacher is preaching and sometimes get involved.

There was one preacher who stuck out from all the rest and he brought his brother who was a preacher too... Elder John Henry Thrower and his brother Jimmy... Elder John Henry Thrower everyone called the dancing preacher... He would start in the pulpit preaching but as soon as the holy spirit got a hold on him. he would leave the pulpit and dance around the congregation, preaching as he went... Every now and then, still preaching, someone in the congregation, would shake his hand as he went by... Never missed a beat, or loosing his train of thought and eventually he would end up back in the pulpit and conclude his sermon.

One old black sister in the congregation was so moved by what she heard, she stood up and it started as a low hum and as it climbed higher and higher I knew the song but never heard it the way she sang it, from the depths of her body, heart and soul... She started with the first verse of Amazing Grace and when she was finished the congregation joined in with her and finished the song, with not a dry eye in the house... Mine included!... There have been days when I can say I really went to church... That was such a day... Later on I asked Elder Amos, I being song leader in our church and having sung the song to many times to remember, I don't recall ever hearing it sung that way before... He smiled at me and said, well Brother Glen, I would be surprised if you did?... You see, that's when our ancestors were in bondage!... Oh, now I understand I said...
