Ok, what about a person who uses marijuana in Holland, where it is legal?

But caffeine is a drug, is it not?
although a mild one, it still is... whether it is legal or not.

What if pot were legalized, would you support the use of it?

Interestingly enough, there is a listing in the DSM-IV (American Psychiatric Association) for "caffeine intoxication."

I been told its calms nerves but they told me chicken caused cancer too but then they said it didn't and then... :)

I like chocolate covered coffee beans.... The stronger the better

Reminds me of a story my friend told me about his honeymoon. They went for breakfast at some small diner down south and the waitress asked my friend if he wanted milk for his coffee. He responded "I like my coffee like I like my women." The waitress looked over at his blonde wife and said with a smile "Oh, light and sweet!" and he said "Nope, strong and black!"

He said she looked SOOOO embarrassed and she didn't wait on him the rest of the time they were there! LOL!!

To answer the idea that coffee is a drug, the term drug simply means to me something found in nature that can benefit mankind. Even cocaine was used originally as a medicine, and I believe that derivatives are still used for that.

As for abuse of coffee, well abusing water can make you sick, too! However, abuse of coffee has not been proven to harm your body other than the typical light symptoms of drinking too many liquids--the same symptoms drinking too much water would cause.

On the other hand, with many people even one drink of alcohol can cause dizziness, etc. Think about all the professions where even one drink on duty is not allowed: law enforcement, the military, professional drivers, the medical professions, etc. However, no profession I know of prohibits coffee on duty.

I agree, I'd have to move my membership...

How do you ask a potential Church if they allow coffee, chocolate and coke? I mean, do you walk down the isle on Sunday and say to the membership, "before I join, I need to know your position on coke?"

Now since drugs are supposed to be ok if a doctor prescribes them, what you really need is a more liberal doctor. This way if the members smell liquor on ya, you can slur, "it's ok, I have a note".
