What Are you Listening To ?

    Hi All!

Earlier this week I received a belated Christmas gift from my wife; The Complete Works of J.S.Bach from ArkivMusic.com. 155 CD's that cost about $133.00 (shipping included). That's less than $1.00 a CD! For Bach no less!

Here's the page with the details: http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical...ole1=1&comp_id=231499&bcorder=15&label_id=319

Each of the volumes are color coded and have some really beautiful artwork on each CD sleeve in the volume.

If I listen to 1 CD a day, I figure that I have a little over 5 months of pure pleasure before I would start over.

I've always loved Bach's music and his belief that all music from learning and practicing to composition, secular and sacred, should be done to the Glory of God alone!

I'm also listening to a rather unique pianist, Jacques Loussier, who plays Bach with jazz stylings, using a jazz trio (piano, bass, drums). It works! Some of Bach's music lends itself to jazz very well.

Recently, he's branched out into Vivaldi,Handel,Scarletti,Beethoven and Eric Satie.

Then, there's my on going travels in Brazilian music.

As everyone can see, I'm eclectic to say the least.

    In Christ,

    Dale
