I was listening to them on Sunday afternoon, when I made the trip down to VA Beach to ride my bike on the boardwalk, then up the street to First Landing State Park, into the park and down to the trail that goes through the subdivision to the west of the park into the commercial area on 60 (not sure what this area is called). This is a FANTASTIC ride, and much safer when there aren't as many people on the boardwalk.

    Warm Commonwealth regards to you,
    BiR

    Oops, I forgot:
Today I listened to Modern Times by Mr. Zimmerman (aka Bob Dylan).

How is that record ? I've almost bought it, several times.

BTW, check out "Without a mask", a movie with Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, several others, along with Mr. Zimmerman in the lead role, excellent movie, great soudtrack.

    Hey Bro. Curtis,

Always good to hear from you - Happy New Year.

It is really good, albeit a little different from Mr. Zimmerman's previous work.

BTW, go to BobDylan.com, click on the "video" link at the top, and listen to the song "When the Deal Goes Down" (should be the 2nd one down, below "Thunder on the Mountain." You can almost waltz to the three-beat rhythm.

I am curious as to the subject of this song. From everything I have read, Mr. Zimmerman loved his wife very much, never wanted a divorce, and has not remarried since the divorce. [especially given some of the lyrics on Blood on the Tracks].

There is a line from the song:
    "I laugh, and I cry,
    And I'm haunted by,
    Things I never meant,
    Nor wished to say."

Of course, Mr. Zimmerman most likely will not divulge that, but I am curious. Regardless, take a listen and tell me what you think.

Regards to you Bro. Curtis, I hope you have gotten to do some good skiing/snowboarding. Here in the Commonwealth, it is supposedly going to be in the 70's this weekend, so I will be riding down on Jamestown Island on my Specialized.

God's Blessings to you and yours,
    BiR

I'm familiar with that song, it gets rotation on our local stations, and it is a beautiful song.....

How about this lyric, from "Standing in the Doorway" off "Time Out Of Mind".....

Last nite I danced with a stranger, but she just reminded me, you were the one

    Chilling, n'est-ce pas ?

The skiing is fantastic, around here. I guess we got an El Nino thing going on. My daughter isn't very happy about the lack of snow in New England.

    Agreed!!

Great minds think alike, huh? I was thinking about that very song after I posted but decided against updating the post to include it. That is so sad.

That's funny, because the biking is great here, and it really shouldn't be!

    Regards to you and yours,

    I second that.

I've been listening to Modern Times and Linda Ronstadt's "Heart Like a Wheel".

    Both very good.
