Well, BiR, I once again had "Modern Times" in my hand. last nite, but opted for Dylan's "Good as I been to you", instead.

I'm listening to it as I type, and I gotta say, I really like it.

I am looking forward to the day when I can sit with the two of you as you play guitar together. Like I have said before: I'm not giving up on Mr. Zimmerman!

I trust that you and yours are doing well - I took a hard crash when I was riding my mountain bike this weekend and couldn't clip out in time, so I did my best impression of a pretzel. I am hoping to heal up enough to go riding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park this weekend (I just have to go back for the three-day weekend!).

Your liberal, tree-hugging brother in Christ,
BiR (who was listening to Bringing it all Back Home by Dylan before the BCS game started!)

    BiR

You might want to check the weather reports before heading this way this weekend. Calling for snow tomorrow night and a plunge in temps. Actually temps are already dropping here in Appalachia.

Hey, thanks for the "heads up."
It is colder here in Richmond; however, it is not cold enough to snow. We don't really get that much snow here anyhow, but I didn't think about the trip down I-81.....

But a trip over Afton Mountain in the snow should get that heart rate going, huh?

Regards to you, hope all is well,
BiR (I like Gordon Lightfoot as well!)

Well, I-81 is likely to be clear, but in the mountains, 'nuther story. Have you done the Virginia Creeper Trail? Folks here in town are working on developing a Salt Trail as well, have three miles open, but will likely be in the summer before it is worth riding. Makes me regret not being able to move much. If you decide to stop in Smyth County, give me a ring, Jeff Weaver is my real name and Saltville is my real town. Or if during working hours, I am the manager of the Chilhowie Public Library, right off exit 35 on I-81.

Hope all is well in Richmond.

Funny you should ask: some friends of mine and I are planning to do that this Spring/Summer. I have heard great things about it, and cannot wait.

Really? Thanks for yet another "heads up." I am always looking for more rides this Spring: trying to lose weight and get that heart rate/blood pressure down! BTW, they are working on a trail from Richmond to Williamsburg for the upcoming festivities in May. It will be flat, but it will be very scenic, and an easy 30+ miles.

I know that exit - I have stopped there to pull off the road to look at my map and make a phone call (that is why I remember it - I told the person I called that I was on exit 35). How ironic is that!

I just might take you up on that, Jeff. Of course that depends on what time I come through town.

Likewise to you in Saltville, and a sincere wish for God's Best to you and yours,
    BiR
