Reading - I always have a book somewhere. Working my way through all of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe books currently. Anything that runs on gasoline or diesel. Anything I can do at camp: hunt, fish, quiet walks with madre, burning up a brick of .22s, snowshoeing, watching the wildlife.

I'm not a cabinet maker by any stretch but I did build a bed for my grandson that looks like a Model T truck.

Hey Rev, how hard is it to get into leather working? I'd really like to start. What do you make? Any tips? My hobbies include:

Raccoon hunting (dog training), fishing (crappie and bass), architecture, reading, guitar, record collecting.

Seems that golf is the clergy sport of choice.

For the cost of 18 holes and a cart I could buy 5 new lures for my tackle box. I'd rather fish.

    It should be! :)

Actually golf is an expensive hobby and many pastors simply cannot afford it. I am bi-vocational, so I am able to indulge in pasture pool.

    Gardening, farming, hunting, fishing

I have an old Farm All Super A tractor that I am currently restoring and an old King Fisher bass boat that I am also restoring

I have an old zero turn mower that I am fixing to overhaul

The time before last that I played golf---I took my wifey :love2: and she beat me---I won't be taking her back golfing anymore

The last time I played golf was with my brother---it cost me $20 for 18 holes plus a cart----and he beat me----I'm not gonna cough up $20 to loose anymore!!!:wavey::wavey:

My son worked at a bowling alley in high school. Bought balls, shoes, bag and accessories. He was pretty good. He now works at a golf course. Bought the clubs, shoes, bag and accessories. He's pretty good. Huge price difference though. Bowling was a KIA. Golf is a Cadillac.

I don't have the time/means for all my interests, but participate in some as I am able or when the opportunity presents itself. Depends. :)

Writing. Theology. Advertising/marketing. Photography. Art. Choral music. Social justice advocacy. True storytelling - it's an art and it's beautiful, stories that tell of the history, the life, the struggle, the joy of a people. Folk songs, political songs, social songs - songs that tell true stories, move people to action, uncover injustice, spark change. I guess most of my interests tie together. Writing, theology, advertising/marketing, photography, art, music, advocacy, story-telling groups, all these things have the same thing at heart.
They spark an interest in humanity, get to the emotions, seek to get to the heart and soul of people and get them to want/do/change/feel something.

So long as the cause is worthy.
