What Baptism?

I would disagree with that statement
You just need some time to think about it. What does everyone say that baptism is? "The outward profession of an inward truth," or some such sentifment.

What is the refusal of the commanded profession but a denial of the same?

Can anyone refuse water baptism, and be considered a Christian?

I would say that if a professing Christian has no conviction to be water baptized as a way of publicly declaring their faith in Christ, then that probably demonstrates that they likely do not possess the Holy Spirit.

That being said, I think there's a difference between ignorance and willful disobedience. A person may not understand what baptism symbolizes, they may struggle with a particular phobia, or they may have a medical condition that prevents them from being fully immersed in water.
