What Bible reading plan do you use?

Since this is the Bible study area, I thought I'd see who does what. I'm considering the Professor Grant Horner plan where you read 10 chapters a day...each chapter from a different section of the Bible.

So do you follow a plan? If so, which one? Or is there one or two you'd recommend?

Thanks

I don't read 10 chapters a day as far as a daily reading plan.

What I do is I place the 3 ribbon markers in my bible at Genesis, Psalms and Matthew. I read a couple of chapters or so from each section per day. When I've read one marked section I just move the ribbon back to the particular portion and repeat the process.

My method is: Pentateuch, Matthew, Histories/Wisdom, Mark, Major Prophets, Luke, Minor Prophets, John and the remainder of the New Testament.

I love reading the Bible chronologically and that is what I'm doing again this year. It makes so much make sense!! :)

I don't have a system. I just read it. I usually concentrate on what I will be preaching or teaching on. Today, for example, I read the resurrection accounts in Matthew 27 and 28, Mark 15 and 16, Luke 23 and 24, and John 19 and 20. :)

I read through the bible from cover to cover, but in addition to that I will read in the same book for longer periods of time. For example, right now I am in exodus working my way through it, but I have been reading 2 Timothy over and over again while reading a commentary on it.

Usually I like to read Ironside's Commentaries on whatever particular book I am dwelling on.

I'm currently working through a 3 year lectionary reading cycle for me personal, devotional readings. In the past I've done other plans and they have benefitted me as well.

Which one? I mean, which lectionary?
