What Books Are You Reading?

Just finished 'Rumors of Another World' by Yancey, and am now reading his "What's so Amazing about Grace?" Am also reading a book by Francis Frangipane called "Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God." The latter sort of rambles, and I'm not sure what I think about his teaching or writing style.

I'm reading Negotiate This! by Herb Cohen. I'm in sales, so this book has been helpful.

I'm also reading The DaVinci Code. Has anyone else read this book?

A Table in the Presence by Lt. Carey H. Cash (Chaplain), an account of the 5th Marine Regiment and their encounters with God's protection and power through the confusion of the battle for Iraq.

I just started reading "The Kingdom of the Cults" by Walter Martin. That is, when I can get it away from my son who takes it to work with him at night.

To bump this topic a little I'm still working on:
"The Power of a Praying Wife" ...

With starting my business i'm a bit slower with this book. I recieved a few books I ordered from guideposts yesterday that i'm adding to my list.

They are

Courage for the Chicken Hearted
Eggstra Courage for the Chicken Hearted
Stories from the Heart.

I love these kinds of books. The ones that make you cry, and laugh in the same chapter

Just finished A Painted House by John Grisham. I highly recommend it to all you good old country boys ( and girls). Really hit a personal note with me. Set in 1952 rural Arkansas.

I am read through The Purpose Driven Church...again. I'd guess that this makes five times.

I was trying to read a John Hagee book that a friend lent me, but I just cannot agree with his reasoning (or his ideas about the bible and interpretation).

A friend at work just let me borrow PowerPoint 2002 Comprehansive, which is the textbook for the PowerPoint class at the local college. Hey, I like to read stuff like that!

In Christ,

Well as long as you mentioned chickens...

I just finished Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance, reflection on raising chickens by Martin Gurdon.

I had a few chickens as a kid and now my youngest daughter has a yen to raise a few next summer. The book's a somewhat rowdy account of suburban chicken care. (British humour  - I'd rate it three out of ten).
