Showered!....hardly a chore in this HOT weather!

LOL - and it's freezing here (literally - 30 degrees).

OK - So I did go out today too. I went to a couple of stores looking for the non-existent perfect purse. I want a purse that is big enough to hold my stuff, be a cross body bag - and not be too big. Think of a clown car - that's what I'm trying to do with my purse.

After purse shopping, I went to Costco and picked up the things we needed from there. Of course I picked up a few "extras":

On my list:
paper plates (big and small)
bacon
dishwasher rinse aid
boneless chicken thighs

Not on my list:
tissues (with the colds going around here, it's easier to get the big pack)
paper towels (forgot I was getting low and I had a coupon)
turkey wraps (we'll use them after church tomorrow as we travel to ILs)
raspberry rhubarb crisp - just because I have vanilla ice cream I need to use up
bathing suit for Joanna - we're going to Florida next month and she was at the end of her suits last year - and this was just $11
goggles for the kids for Florida
CoQ10 - I forgot how cheap vitamins are at Costco
Softgel Vitamin C - so I don't have to gag on the ones I have anymore!

. I want a purse that is big enough to hold my stuff

It does NOT exist. My idea of the perfect handbag is tiny, light and cute on the outside and ENORMOUS on the inside.....like a pocket TARDIS really!

I ain't hard to please:smilewinkgrin:, and in colours that automatically sync. with my outfit.:tongue3:

I got out of bed, does that count?:sleeping_2:

That was me yesterday. I started not feeling well on Saturday night and yesterday, there was no way I was going to church. I actually did clean the kitchen and oil the butcher block table but that was done over hours of time because I was just so exhausted. Bleck!

Today I showered and I'm up. I'm having my tea, checking stuff online then will go back to bed in a little while.

I'm fighting this illness again so I've been laying low for the last few days. But because of this snowstorm, I repacked the freezer last night and took inventory so I know what we have. It should be good should we lose power. I'm not worried about the fridge because it's below 40 degrees outside so I can always store stuff in boxes in the garage.

Today my goal is to get the house cleaned and vacuumed in case we lose power and then I want to work on the basement a bit to clean it up. I also want to get firewood inside this morning and plan out food for the next few days so I don't have to open the outside freezer to get food. But I can safely say that after checking our freezer, we're all set for food for the next bunch of weeks!

Keeping an eye on the weather charts Ann, stay safe

I have been on my hands and knees doing floor corners etc. I had the old and horrible carpet removed when I moved here, and the beautiful rimu wood floors polished. There are lots of nasty corners where crud collects, and the only way is down on the knees with a toothbrush.

I don't care what you say....I KNOW it is cruddy in the corners and it is not beautiful.

I had to take child #2 to the doctor's .... again. She has the creeping crud again but now with a fever. She's on a z-pack and we'll know tomorrow if she has pneumonia. Fun stuff!!

But other than that, I got the kitchen well cleaned. Again. ;)
