What do you do if you have a problem and there seems to be no solution?

Living relationship? Define living relationship. What is this?
It sounds promising but do you know what I learned? When christians talk about things such as "knowing God" or having a relationship with God then usually people think: WOW! They know God!? I cannot believe it! They have a relationship with God?! That's incredible.

But when you then ask a christian what does this mean then you find out that it's much less and the great "relationship" is basically this here:

-one sided prayer to God
-singing
-reading the bible

Please tell me where exactly is the personal character of this?
It's not personal if you don't really get in touch with God.
If I watch all Stallone movies does this mean that I know him? No.
If I read the bible does this mean I know God's heart? No.
Personal means this to me: Personal.
And personal means sharing something with God which is only between me and him. Knowing things about him which others don't know. A personal word from God, an answered prayer for example. Things which really show you that God indeed hears you. This is what really counts and what gives you strength. I miss this. I wish I would get a sign from God that he hears me, this would help me. I think every christian needs this feedback from God some maybe more than others.

Is anybody here who knows what God really thinks? If so then what does he think about my situation? Everybody says something different. Some say they're sorry for me and others say that Paul also suffered, which makes it look like whenever a person suffers then it is God's will because God is trying to teach the person something...
But in the end nobody really knows what God thinks.

@ bound

thank you.

xdx, once you get the mental confusion under control you can go to any American military base in Germany to teach German to them. You've got exceptional talent! You can teach English to the Germans who are employed on our military bases there. I would not worry one second about German official approval for that. You know that the Americans would welcome you, probaby pay you and cash your check right there on the base. Once you complete your German education you can teach English and German everywhere, including the USA. Here you can get a teachers position in a college without all those credentials that the strict Germans demand! You would quickly rise to the status of a professional instructor here. Take whatever medication you have and we will assist you in coming to the USA.

Who said that I want to come to the USA?
I cannot do this. I have people here which I cannot simply forsake and disappear even if I wanted. I cannot do this and besides this I don't even know wether I would feel well there.
And I think that they have their own teachers at military bases which also speak English and German. I'm also not a teacher, I don't know how to teach and explain things. And all this stuff has nothing to do with my problem.

But the medicine takes time to kick in. I have not even started. And it's not even sure that it will even help.
It won't take long to kick in and you won't know if it will help unless you take it. Take one step today. Take your meds. Take another step tomorrow. Ok?

I don't know. The problem is that the medicine can have side effects and I don't know what to do. The side effects might cause even more problems.

Then you can stop taking it, but you have to try. You must make an effort to help yourself.

This is not that easy. When you start it you cannot simply stop it, this will make you feel even worse. This is the problem. You cannot take it and then stop it from one day to the other. Other people slowly taper it off and in spite of this they still feel worse than before. It's a bit risky.

Sure it's risky. Getting out of bed in the morning is risky, but the alternative stinks.

It might do this that or the other. But it probably will make theings better.

From the sound of things, it can't make you feel too much worse in any case.

Take. The. Medicine.

X, your making excuses now. Take the first step. You're already miserable. Give it a chance. I know from my own experience. Is this med. an anitdepressant?

Yes and they have shown in clinical studies that they could very well make you feel worse and this is scary. I already feel bad! I don't know if I can account for this. What if I take it and then freak out? This scares me.

I mean the worst thing is when you have a problem and you don't know what to do and God is silent and you don't see God in the situation doing anything. What do you do then? //

My Sister-in-law sits back and says: "This is impossible!
It is really going to be interesting how God works this one out."

God does miracles around my Sister-in-law.

My Sister-in-law is the mother of three girls (middle teens)
who each was adopted from anoher country into the USofA.
But then the adoptive parent(s) couldn't take care of them
(lost jobs, spouse died, etc. each a tragedy in itself).

One time my brother got 'head hunted out of one job,
then when back to the first job at double his previous pay.

On 12 Sept 2001 My Brother & Sister-in-law had a ticket
from Chicago to Moscow on Areoflot, the Russian airlines
to adopt three Russian orphans (in Blagoveshchensk
on the Amur River.)
On 11 Sept 2001, for the first time ever, all commercial aircraft
was grounded in USonian air Space. There were no Areoflot
planes into Chicago, the inbound flight went to Montreal.
"This is impossible! It is really going to be interesting
how God works this one out."
On 25 September 2001 My Brother & Sister-in-law adopted
three Russian orphans (now in their late teens).

Do you mean I shall just sit there and wait for God to do a miracle?
Does this not make me become totally passive? But on the other hand if I always try to solve my problems then how do I even know if God is helping me?
This is a stupid situation but since this drags me down and also affects my faith I need a solution. And this is also what scares me. What if I cannot find any and stay this miserable? Already now I have a hard time understanding it and getting along with it and not feeling like God leaves me alone.

What if you DON'T freak out? What if you feel BETTER? What is the name of the medication?

That is what I take and have for years. It's very safe and I've had ZERO side effects other than making me feel like a normal person again. You have nothing to worry about. I thought maybe it was prozac or wellbutrin. Those have side effects. Please take you medicine. It will help.

But I have read stories from people which took it and then freaked out. I don't think that only because you tolerate it well does mean that everybody tolerates it well.

You're going to have to trust that your dr. knows what he's doing. You're NOT going to freak out. It will help you. If you have an infection you take antibiotics, right? Have you read about their side effects? Yet, you put aside your fear and take your medicine and get well. This is the same thing. Your brain needs some medicine. It's really not a big deal. You're freaking out right now over something that isn't even going to happen. You may not even have to take it for very long. Sometimes a short treatment is all that is necessary. Set aside your fears. There's nothing to be afraid of except not trying to get well.
