I am again perplexed with what to do.

I have many Bibles that are worn out.

For the love of the Scriptures, I cannot discard them.

I'm like those believers in India who don't put things on top of the Bible, nor set it on the ground. It is an authority, and every word (no matter the translation or age) is precious.

So, what do I do?

I can't burn them.

Though that is what I plan for my own passing, to be cremated.
Hey, don't be alarmed.
After all, it is the last time that I get to have a smoking hot body. :)

I can't give them away. They are in no condition to be presentable.

I can't get them rebound, they aren't priceless to family, who have their own collections.

I can't find an undertaker who will undertake to allow them to be placed in the coffin and be buried with a saint who has no use for their body, (I don't suppose urns have pockets so they can't be with me).

So what do I do?

Jews burry their unusable sacred scrolls with a religious leader, and I more often wish that was a standard of expectation for those of use who have relics of past enlightenment.

I would suggest that you donate them to a worthy organization such as an inner-city church start-up or a homeless shelter. There may be people in those places that do not possess a personal Bible in any condition. (BTW - brand new Bibles given away at these places are often sold off by disingenuous recipients for cash.)

Ditch the cremation, and have the Bibles put in the casket with you. Stuff is buried with people all the time.

I'd just pack them up in a box and put it somewhere. If they have sentimental value, that seems like the best option - that way, they'll be out of the way, but not gone if you ever wanted to do something with them.

I have a library room (In there right now) with different Bibles I have owned since the LORD saved me 55 years ago.

Including my Douay-Rheims from my Catholic days.
