actually.....truth is.

I will not back down from a liar. Call me what you wish, but I dont run away when satan comes attacking Gods word.

The lies posted above should not be tolerated....and if there are lurkers, let them know this: TRUE Christianity values truth more than anything. If the lurkers cant see the evasive tactics and blatant lies by the KJVO above, then they will never see the truth of Christ, and there is nothing we can do for them.

I truely pity these KJVO here. I have never been so amazed.

Agreed Rippon--Christ has not been honored in this entire thread. It has been an exchange of "labeling" and "name calling" from the beginning. The title of the thread has not been honored, since those who are obviously not KJVO have been posting--so how can they said what it means to be a KJVO when they aren't?

No, Christ will have the last word. and unless you [questioning a brothers or sister's salvation is against the rules of the BB--if this continues you will get an all expense paid vacation--these attacks from KJVO's are getting ridiculous and need to STOP NOW!], you will hear the words 'Depart from me ye that work iniquity... I never knew you.'

Not sure I get this....you can say what it means to be a mormon, but you arent one.

You can explain what it means to be an MV, but you arent one.

How is that a problem>?

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

You will not change my mind about that! Don't even try.
Ever notice how KJVOist break this boards simple rules when their KJVO myth is put under the light of the truth. They post attacks on the Word of God hoping to get threads closed down.

The undecided lurkers read their attacks and evasions. They actually help those of us who expose the KJVO myth by what they post and how they dodge questions.

When I was a KJVO I never willingly promoted deceptions. The 1611 KJV showed me KJVOism is a lie.

Yet again this thread proves that KJVOism covers a multitude of sins as long as the offending party is KJVO. The ends justify the means as long as the end result is KJVOism.

After much prayer and reading (in my Bible and in the various threads, I have decided to come out of the closet so to speak and let all here know I am a KJVO. Was I always a KJVO? NO!
This is quite an interesting post standingfirminChrist. Just in another thread this weekend you said that you were NOT a KJVO and that you had many translations that you study.

Which is it? One has to be the truth, the other, well.....do I have to say it?

I honestly answered an "either, or" question and now I am being accused of dishonesty? It seems that when some people ask questions they don't want an honest answer. I get the feeling that any answer given by a King James Bible believer will automatically be shot down and viewed as an attack or a lie.

The original poster asked "What does it mean to you to be KJVO?" I answered the question by quoting from my own doctrinal statement. Is quoting from a doctrinal statement an attack on someone's Bible? I don't think so. There are reasons why we are KJVO and we ought to be given the chance to explain our position.

Excellent. Don't change. There is no reason you should. It is a great translation, and if you are comfortable with it and like it you should continue to use it.

Just do not insist all others use it. (And I'm not saying you do this, because I don't know you or your preferences). Do not insist that it is the only valid Bible translation and all others are faulty or from hell. Don't treat people like they are liberal or less spiritual because they use another version. Do not destroy the faith or confidence others may have in another version.

That's the difference between most MV'ist and most KJVO'ist (most, not all). KJVO's will typically attack the MV's as not the Word of God for an error or textual difference, but when the KJV is held to the same standard by MV supporters then it is seen as an "attack" on the KJV - when in fact most (once again, most, not all) MV supporters like the KJV, they just do not feel it is inerrant or necessarily superior.

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT...

Yes, KJVO IS a doctrine...a FALSE doctrine. The Geneva Bible was good enough for all the GOOD preachers from the 1560s to C. 1644. People got saved, churches grew...and they didn't another new version that was too pricey for the common man just becayse a king didn't like sone of the footnotes in the "standard" version. They didn't need a new version that altered & changed the meaning of verses, such as changing "him" to "them" in Psalm 12:7, (At least the AV placed a marginal note for this verse, giving the literal meaning of the Hebrew, unlike the current KJV editions)or "passover" to "Easter" in Acts 12:4.
