Who cares ...
... what John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Chuck Swindoll, Tony Evans, David Jeremiah, or anyone you care to name thinks about non-Reformed, Muslims, Charismatics, chocolate, pink polka-dot quilts, or any other number of topics that regularly come up on similarly titled threads around here?
These are M-E-N, no one special, no one of great significance, other than all are good teachers -- though I'm not a big Mac fan. I don't take my lead to have an opinion from any M-A-N. I take my opinions from God's word, and what He reveals to me about it. That's all Mac, Stanley, Swindoll, Evans, Jeremiah, etc., do as well. They just have radio shows and television shows that allows them to express those opinions on a wider basis that I can.
I listen to them, I consider them, many times I applaud them. But let them be my guide? No. Jesus is my guide. It is His opinion I value. I consider the rest, but if they don't line up, I reject them.
Me? I could care less about Reformed, non-Reformed, Catholic, Charismatic, IFB, etc. I'm a Christian. I happen to belong to an SBC church because it teaches what I consider to be the word of God. If it changed pastors and doctrine, I'd be out of there in a heartbeat. I've done it before. I pray I don't have to do it again.
