What Features Would You Like to See Added

Well, if we had a chat room, you wouldn't have to go there if you didn't want too. But chatting at the same moment in time is at times nice.

I've gotten to know some different people in chat rooms that didn't post on the same threads or in the same forums as I did, and I got to know some people better.

 

We'd have to have a moderator in a chat room 24/7. I sure wouldn't want that job...

 

I like chat rooms, too.
How about a set time or topic?

 

I don't know that it would have to be moderated 24/7. The ones I've used aren't and folks stay pretty nice. They also produce transcripts and moderators pop in from time to time. Maybe more moderators would be needed. I'd be willing to help with that or here.

And Purple Lady had a great thought. It might only be open at certain times. mmmmm

 

No you wouldn't. No chat room I have ever been a part of had a moderator in it continually. Moderators pop in from time to time and get notified if there are problems. I think it is a pretty good idea and I would also be willing to help out.

Actually, I have used the chat room at frappr and had a great chat with Roger and Curtis. That chat was part of the reason I mentioned it here. frappr is not part of the BB though. It is a different site and not only do I have to remember to go there, but someone else has to be there with which to chat. It is not the same a chat room sponsored by the BB where there is a steady flow of people already here.

If it is a problem to set up a chat room -- then that's no problem for me. I love the BB as it is. BUT I was under the impression that this thread was the place to mention features we would like to see, so I mentioned one.

 

I cant figure out the frappr chat thing. I'd love to see a chat feature added here as well and would be glad to help out in any way needed.

There was a recent instance where a series of my posts were deleted. I suspect the Moderator did not agree with and could not counter my points. Anyway, a couple of pages of the thread (including mostly my posts) were deleted. I repeatedly ask why on the thread and got no response.

If a post or a series of posts are deleted, I think the Moderator should at least provide an explanation when requested.

 

Did you PM the moderator?

If so, and you got no response, PM an administrator. I would suggest Squire Robertsson since he is online more often than the rest right now.

I would like to have more of the popular icons available on the same page as the one I'm typing the post on and remove some of the ones not used as much. When I hit "more" and the other icons come up, it takes awhile and that window doesn't stay open. Consequently, I just don't use the laugh icon, puzzled icon, or the "eek" icon very much.

For example, right now, in the panel at the right, there are two thumbs-up icons. Why can't one of them be the laugh icon? Or the puzzled icon? I would like to replace the icon with the halo with the "eek" icon, too. I just don't' use the halo one that much. So for me, it would be great to take out one of the thumbs-up icons, the halo icon, and maybe the praying icon, and put in the puzzled, laugh, and "eek" icons instead. Then I wouldn't have to open up that other window.

Also, the praise and fish icons don't download at all. Is that because I have an older (2000) and slower computer? I used to get them but lately they just don't download at all. :tear:
