Every believer has a general faith or saving faith, which is also a gift. (Eph. 2:8). This faith is given by hearing the word (Rom. 10:17).
So what is the faith mentioned in 1 Cor. 12:10? This is a supernatural manifestation of the Holy Spirit..an empowerment that goes beyond simple saving faith.
This faith is manifested through the believer. All the manifestations of the HS work by faith. We as believers have to step out in faith and yeild to the promptings of the HS. That is where simple faith is involved..that comes by hearing God's word.
Do you see a difference in simple/saving faith and FAITH listed in 1 Cor. 12:10?
