As there seems to be a real agenda to have women as superior, as in Wonder Woman, female heroine of Star wars, and now the first female Dr Who?
I am angry that while women are equal to men, its not right to have men looked down upon, as being less than, as it almost like some are really enjoying having men shown as weak/ineffective/dumb etc! You’re upset about Wonder Woman and Rey from Star Wars? Are you really suffering from a lack of male lead characters in film and TV? Sheesh. You’ve got about a century worth of material to hold onto if this bothers you.

I have no problem with WW movie, but did you notice how many were really mad due to Superman being shown to be physically superior to her, as he always has been?Think about how women are portrayed in action movies throughout history. You’ll be fine. There are still some number of “damsel in distress” movies out there.
That and Womer Woman was one of the most successful movies of 2017 against its comic book competition.

“Wonder Woman” has also become the highest grossing film to be directed by a woman....This film comes at just the right time in our culture....culture pins stereotype qualities on women, and those qualities are seen as weaknesses.
As a superhero, she brings with her some of the characteristics that are typically unique to women, but in a positive light. She is nurturing, and yet incredibly strong. She’s not afraid to realize her emotions—feeling the pain and anguish of the ravages of war. And she’s not afraid to bring others along with her in her journey, valuing the relationships.
“I am willing to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. Who will, if I don’t?” –Diana
Diana recognized that with ability comes responsibility. This is a valuable lesson that we can all use....How are we going to steward our opportunities to lead?
Wonder Woman’s character realized her power, and used it for good. Let’s do the same with our abilities today

I meant equal as same to God in spiritual blessings, not same as in role distinctions! But men and women are NOT equal.
I have no problem with how WW was shown as a strong and capable super women, but do have problem with this agenda that seems to want to have men shown as weak and inferior, and unable to be responsible !I watched Wonder Woman and really liked it. I had no imaginings or desires to see "an agenda to have woman as superior".
In fact, I didn't see any agendas at all. I just enjoyed the film. And quite frankly - even though the Israeli actress who played her wore a suit that revealed some skin - I was SO GLAD it didn't reveal what the comic book version of WW reveals and I was so glad that they didn't pick an actress who was the Playboy type or even the Linda Carter type. As a classical NOT a neo feminist, that was a relief.
Also, I didn't see Superman in the movie.
I first became aware of SOME men's intense issues with female lead when I saw the previous Star Wars film. I was talking to some very nice men I've known a long time on another Bible forum about the movie and they ripped the film and the Rey character to shreds. I was flabbergasted at their despising of the film and the character to the degree that they did. It was rough.
I know that it is hard for some men to watch a female lead character in a film and not get up in arms thinking that it's all about women hating men and trying to "be better" than them. These films you have listed just aren't what you think they are.
And just think of the opposite - film for over a hundred years with male leads that do the incredible and unrealistic feats that purport their manhood and machoness over society:
Are we to believe that this is who men are? Supermen, superhuman - always rescuing the woman from her pitiful situation where all she can do is cry?
- James Bond jumping overall of those alligators backs in the lake.
- Most of Bruce Willis films - Red come to mind as I just watched it with my dad.
- Bruce Lee films
- and so much more
I don't watch Dr. Who, but I don't understand the problem with a female lead or a black man as the lead.
