Scripture reveals that humans are obligated toward God in many ways: loving God, glorifying God, worshiping God, etc. What is the greatest obligation that all humans have toward God?

[Mat 7:21-23 KJV] 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever
No reconciliation is needed.[Mat 7:21-23 KJV] 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Please reconcile this scripture with your statement.
that is doing the will of the Father in Heaven
To fear God, give glory to God, and worship God contain the qualities of loving and enjoying Him.Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
According to this passage, the everlasting gospel comprises fearing God, giving glory to Him, and worshiping Him. This text does not explicitly talk about loving God or enjoying Him.
Micah 6:8Scripture reveals that humans are obligated toward God in many ways: loving God, glorifying God, worshiping God, etc. What is the greatest obligation that all humans have toward God?
This is an important question, but the subject of the thread is not just what believers are to do.How do we most glorify God as believers?
Actually, no. Satan and his demons do not love or enjoy God, but they still have to glorify Him by worshiping Him.To fear God, give glory to God, and worship God contain the qualities of loving and enjoying Him.
You would need to love and enjoy God to fear, glorify, and worship God.
Do you have scripture to support your claim that Satan and demons worship God?Actually, no. Satan and his demons do not love or enjoy God, but they still have to glorify Him by worshiping Him.
Yes.Do you have scripture to support your claim that Satan and demons worship God?
Based upon my understanding of Revelation, this is a future event that happens when the Lamb takes the book.Yes.
Rev. 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
"Every creature" means exactly that in Revelation 5:13. Satan and his demons do not get an exemption from glorifying God by worshiping Him.
Wow. Really? This is a very serious denial on your part.I do not believe that Satan and his demons will worship God. They rebelled against God and hate God. They will not suddenly be forced to glorify God at any point in history.
I detest preterism and am a futurist. Yes, it is a future event, but what it reveals proves what God ultimately will receive from all His creation--worship to His glory!Based upon my understanding of Revelation, this is a future event that happens when the Lamb takes the book.
Rev. 5.8
And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
As for timing…
Rev. 4.1
“… Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”
And none of the preterists will agree with me.
Your error is in thinking that, if Satan and his demons will one day be forced to worship and glorify God, that therefore worshiping and glorifying God by humans exercising their free will is not any great obligation.Wow. Really? This is a very serious denial on your part.
You think that Satan and his demons are so special that they deserve special treatment from God so that they are exempted from worshiping God and glorifying Him? Absolutely not true!
They most certainly will be forced to give all the glory to God and His Christ!
