I agree completely! I am not really sure who I like, but no doubt Thomas is not on the list. I personally would like to see them get a guy that has already been a successful coach in a program. </font>[/QUOTE]Hey, go after Tubby...

I doubt that the IU faithful would be any easier on him than UK fans.

I thought this was a "what's wrong with KY thread". Let's get back to bashing Tubby and moaning about how they have no power forwards and how they have full scholarship players on the roster who could not start in the OVC and how next year will be just as bad since Tubby has only three recruits and two of them are guards.

I like Tubby as a person and think he is a class act. However, I don't think UK has even come close to maximizing the talent that we have and yes I blame Tubby for much of this. I will continue to always cheer for UK regardless of who coaches. Well, maybe not Knight, LOL.

Rick Pitino in Bloomington? No way. He loves city life.

Paradise Guy: I agree with you. I was not being sarcastic. I really wanted us to get back to doing those things I mentioned.

    Ed Sutton,

No need to worry, brother. You memeory is perfect. Her name is indeed Joanne.

OK, they want us back to the topic, so...

    Whats wrong with Kentucky?

Recruiting. They just dont have the talent, particularly in the front line, that they should have, considering they are Kentucky.

Hopefully Tubby will rectify that problem.

Concerning the comical quote from some sportswriter saying Pitino had expressed interest in the IU job, here is this quote from the Louisville newspaper...

(the "Klein" metioned here is sports information director Kenny Klein)

Mike, what are people supposed to say? Oh yeah, our coach is interested??? Of course that is what they are going to say. Do you remember Thad Matta awhile back...in one week he went from saying he had no interest in the Ohio State job to being introduced as the coach.

No one wants to think that their coach is interested in leaving.

I have been reading a lot on this issue and I think that no matter what people are saying right now both Pitino and Calipari are interested in the IU job if IU is interested in them.

Honestly, I am not sure if either is the right person for the job, but we shall see.

    Tom Vols,

I think you need to start a new thread titled,
    "What is wrong with Tennessee"

UK should beat SC and advance to the SEC Championship on Sun. They played gritty today and pulled it out.

    Go Cats!

    PastorSBC,
You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but I'm tellin ya...

Pitino has no interest. He loves Louisville. He owns race horses and of course Louisville is the world capitol in that area with Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby being in Louisville.

He is a big city guy who didnt care for the "medium" city size of Lexington, and his wife hated it. If Lexington is too small they would go insane within a week in Bloomington.

Louisville is in the Big East which is based primarily in the northeast, which is where he is from. Road trips every year to many places in the northeast he knows well and loves. Providence, St Johns, Villanova, Syracuse, etc.

The Conferance tournament in New York City at Madison Square Garden.

I can assure you, the "laughter" referenced in the artlicle I linked to was probably Pitino laughing at the thought of leaving Louisville for Indiana.

    PITINO...HAS...NO...INTEREST.

Kentucky goes down today to South Carolina.

I still think they have been playing much better here lately and I wouldnt be surprised to see them roll into maybe the sweet 16 or so in the NCAA tournament.

Odd though that they didnt have Sparks in the game more in those last couple of minutes...particularly when they needed a three to tie it. He has been their most consistent shooter when they need a 3 in situations like that.

What are they expected to be an 8 or 9 seed?

    Anywhere between a 7-10; probably a 8 or 9.

I always hate when teams I like are in the 8/9 game. Even if you do win, you end up getting the #1 seed.

    PastorSBC said, referring to Kentucky...

    And he then said...

The truth comes out! He's a closet KENTUCKY fan! :D [IMG]

    Uhhh I think not.

I look forward to being able to end this thread that I started by saying:

Kentucky has now lost and is done for the season. [IMG] :D

Many have IU as a 8 or 9 seed as well. Perhaps we will get an IU vs. Kentucky matchup in the first round.
