Your the one that says you were so special that God picked you out B4 the foundation of the world. Now that is boasting.
Scripture teaches that, so that men have no cause to boast Eph 1:4

If God chose a person for salvation b4 they existed to do good or evil, how can they boast about something they did to get saved ? Rom 9:11

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) So Duh

Salvation is by grace without works. Works are conditions Eph 2:8-9

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

That verse shows you the condition, faith. You just refuse to see it.

Problem for you is that you were not chosen B4 creation. No one was.

What we know is that the means of salvation was already determined B4 creation, by grace through faith in God.

Explain how one can boast about being chosen by God b4 the foundation, before they existed, and having done nothing to become chosen. What kind of sense does that make

See you and people like you are boasters because you would say, God saved you based upon a good quality He observed in you and not in others who remain lost, you met a good quality condition. Thats boasting

Not on any good quality just our humble acceptance of the gift offered. I have been saved by grace through faith.

That is something that you cannot grasp.

That verse shows that salvation by grace through Faith is not of oneself, not of works/conditions

By george I think you may finally have got it. We are not save because of our works but we are saved by God because we have met the condition God has set faith in Him.

Because you actually think you were one of the chosen B4 creation. That is boasting.
Yes I do believe I was one of the ones chosen b4 the foundation because of His sovereign Grace and choice, so I boast in the Lord 1 Cor 1:30-31

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

The word glorieth/glory is the greek word kauchaomai:

Means to boast, and its an imperative, God commands His saints to boast in His favor and mercy, and knowledge.

If anyone has ever wondered exactly what a hyper-Calvinist is, look no further than BF.

He is the poster child of hyper-Calvinism.
