Curious where people stand. I say, let 'em stay. No citizenship, but no sense in deporting.

This is the only group I would consider for an amnesty. I realize it's not technically amnesty, but let's be real, if they don't have to leave, it's close enough.

I have no problem sending back foreign national families. But DACA kids, to me, would be in a lot of danger trying to cope in Mexico or latin america not knowing anything about the culture, many not speaking the language, and many not have any ties there, whatsoever. I look at them as refugees of sorts. I can be hardline on immigration, but this, to me, just seems cruel.

But many here are making a stink about it, even those that didn't support Trump. So cast your vote. What would you do with them?

PS, sorry about the dyslexia on choice 2.

14 Things the MSM Won't Tell You About DACA

14 Things the MSM Won’t Tell You About DACA

This Is Only the Fault of the Parents

DACA Recipients Are Illegal Aliens

DACA Is a Massive Amnesty Program

DACA Recipients Are Not the Children

DACA Recipients Take Jobs Americans WILL Do

Some DACA Recipients are Criminals

DACA Is Not a Law, It Is the Violation of Law

Most DACA Recipients are Not Overachievers

DACA Is Wildly Unfair to Americans, Most Especially Young Americans Just Starting Out

DACA Was Already Litigated and Debated in 2016

DACA Encourages More Illegal Immigrants

In Most States, DACA Recipients are Eligible for Welfare Benefits

Unless It Is Stopped, DACA Will Never Stop Growing

DACA Ignores Some Criminal Behavior

On the true merits, the DACA debate is a loser for the Left and their media — which is why the 14 facts above must remain largely unspoken.

This Is Only the Fault of the Parents
Agreed. So why should the children be penalized for the parent's crimes?

DACA Recipients Are Illegal Aliens
Yes, we know. That is what the issue is all about.

DACA Is a Massive Amnesty Program
I would hardly call 800,000, of which probably half don't really qualify, "massive."

DACA Recipients Are Not the Children
Not the children of whom?

DACA Recipients Take Jobs Americans WILL Do
Maybe, but probably not.

Some DACA Recipients are Criminals
Some are. And their criminal activity has disqualified them and they should be deported. In fact, they should be given head of the line privileges on the bus south.

DACA Is Not a Law, It Is the Violation of Law
It is neither. It is an Executive Order because President Obama could not get it through the Democrat controlled Congress. And no court has ruled it to be illegal or unconstitutional (although I believe not enforcing existing law is, in itself, unlawful).

Most DACA Recipients are Not Overachievers
Why should they be? Most of us aren't either. Most of us just plod along as best we can. :)

DACA Is Wildly Unfair to Americans, Most Especially Young Americans Just Starting Out
Why?

DACA Was Already Litigated and Debated in 2016
And not found to be illegal. And it is still in force.

DACA Encourages More Illegal Immigrants
Possibly, but that is motive to get control of our borders.

In Most States, DACA Recipients are Eligible for Welfare Benefits
Yes. And perhaps that should be added as a stipulation. They can stay as long as they never become a burden to the government.

Unless It Is Stopped, DACA Will Never Stop Growing
Of course it will. If congress would get off their fat backsides and hammer out a bill, including a sunset clause, the problem could be solved.

DACA Ignores Some Criminal Behavior
Non-Citizen criminals should be deported.

So cast your vote. What would you do with them?

Once the Wall is built they should have a special express lane entrance for foreign parents that want their illegal immigrant kids to grow up in the U.S. Just let 'em on on here. It's not fair to let some in and not others. And how many of them can there be?

Also start a program for DAPA--deferred action for parental arrivals. The parents of existing DREAMers should be allowed into the U.S. It would be cruel to separate kids from their parents.

It won't be anywhere close to 800,000 when the democrats and the RINOs get through with it.

The Dream Act of 2017 proposed by Lyndsey Graham and Dick Durbin:

Dream Act Amnesty Would Legalize A Lot More Immigrants Than DACA Beneficiaries

Dream Act Amnesty Would Legalize A Lot More Immigrants Than DACA Beneficiaries

President Donald Trump’s wish that Congress pass amnesty to protect Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiaries could end up putting nearly 2 million illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship.

Trump announced that the DACA amnesty program will be rescinded in March 2018 in order to give Congress time to “legalize” the program that protects roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has said Trump supports signing the Dream Act as a resolution to this issue, and Trump is reportedly meeting with Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Wednesday night to discuss the Dream Act.

A July analysis from the Migration Policy Institute of the Dream Act of 2017 introduced in the Senate shows that a total of 1.8 million illegal immigrants could be granted legal status. This is a million more illegal immigrants than are currently protected by DACA.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked about the Dream Act during Monday’s press briefing and replied that the “president and the administration are looking responsible immigration reform. And part of that would be part of that process, but we want to do something that addresses a multitude of issues.”

As recently as July, White House legislative director Marc Short said, “The administration has opposed the Dream Act and we are likely to be consistent in that.”

However, since then the president has embraced amnesty, a position the White House claimed on Tuesday Trump has always held.

So far, no one votes deport. So far, everyone agrees with Trump. Which makes me curious about the uproar I see everywhere.

Ok, step out of idealism and let's move to rubber meets the road reality. What do you propose we do with them?
I agree that most are not children, but they were children when they were brought here.

Of course everyone agrees with Trump on DACA because he's taken both sides! On the same day, in fact!

I agree that most are not children, but they were children when they were brought here.

Children always pay part of the price for their parents' crimes. Part of the deterrent to crime is the potential damage to the criminal's children!

Should we make the burglar's kids heirs to the homeowner's estate. NO! we're witnessing a critical breakdown of law and order, due to super-wealthy Democrats, like Jeff Bezos (Amazon.com) who can save $600 million/year by paying his employees $2.00 less per hour.

Make no mistake, the heart of the pro-immigration debate is the greed of billionaires and political survival for liberals who require an ethnic minority underclass voting block for political survival.

And that comment by inthelight, satirical as it is, sums up the entire problem. We don't want to incentivize parents to break the law in order to procure a better start in life for their children. That would be insane!

And I just love the old, "We can't break families apart!" I just wanna cry! But I also want Mexican families to be together ... in Mexico!

The Mexican government is free to adopt a slightly modified version of the US Constitution as the law of the land, and then Mexico will be prosperous. The United States doesn't have to foot the bill for poor political decisions made by the Mexican government!

The Constitution is not copyrighted. It never was. It has always been available for any government to adopt.

Separate the wheat from the chaff. Leftist generated generalizations are all we really have.

Many of them were teenagers when they entered the country and their native language is Spanish. Referring to them as innocent children is a lie that must stop.

If they have commited felonies, deport 'em. No questions asked. No second chances. If they dropped out of high school, and many have, return to school or get a GED. If not, deport "em. If they are gang members, deport 'em. Give all of them 24-36 months to pass a citizenship exam or deport 'em. If they are adults, find and deport the cause of the problem, their parents.

More important than what is done with the ones here, stop the flow in the future. Period.

BTW, none of this will ever happen. Democrats and RINOs will never let it.

Amnesty is what will happen and it will be an open invitation for millions more to enter the country. Most of them will vote democrat. That's been the plan for a long time. Obama brought it out into the open. Change the demographics of our American society with illegal immigrants and put democrats/socialists in charge of the government for the foreseeable future.

The USA will be another Venezuela in 2 more generations.

I don't disagree.
1. Seal the border.
2. Begin a system of dealing with who is here.

How can we practically implement 2? Tough question. Mass deportation is not practical. I think it will have to be s combination of deportation, permanent legal non-citizen residence, and citizenship for a small percentage.

No offense to the OP, but I really resent these foreign nationalists getting all the attention and concern - true that if you give any of these DACA people amnesty, even just permanent green cards, there will be millions of new "residents" in an already over-populated country. And there will be more to come, rewarding bad behavior leads to more bad behavior.

Any "deal" will have loopholes that you could drive a mack truck through - these "kids" may be here through "no fault of their own" but that doesn't make them MY problem. They've already been given an American public school education and more, think there's a reason we can't squat in their country like that?

Don't believe in magic soil, that country should be equal or even better than this one, given its geographical advantages and natural resources, yet it's Third World and hopelessly corrupt.

We don't have to do mass deportation. Just pass a law that anyone in the US illegally can be sentenced to five years in federal prison. Then, allow three months for illegals to leave.

No offense taken, i just disagree that foreign nationalists are getting "all" the attention. Seems like an overreaction.

You are saying we need more information, a clearer definition of terms? The only reality is our birth rate is down and we are saving the elderly and our society needs remedy the skew toward the aging. The truth is we sport a birth rate which will not replace our workforce. That is just one of the missing facts. A real fact is the stats indicate birth control has not been the answer to population control.

Looking at an increase in manufacturing we are promised by the GOP can continue our birth decline and our new attitudes regarding deportation. Like in the movie short circuit "more data!"
