What the Bible doesn't say?

You replied to me instead of posting to the thread. It must have been silly of me to think that you were replying to me.
What does that mean?

"You replied to me" and "silly of me to think that you were replying to me."

This is it then? Or is there a second option?

Or are those two different things

"You replied to me" and it is "silly of me to think that you were replying to me."

What?

So, you're telling me you don't
"have the things you say I got on you about?"

I point people to Jesus, and that includes instructing them to think about what they are doing by rewriting the Bible, and them being also illiterate.

You are in denial. What that means is that you have closed your mind to discussion and you can proceed no further.
As Tony Robbins would say, The Sovereignty of God vs a sinner
is the Principal determinant to leverage a favorable outcome, if any, IMHO.

No. I actually thought you were addressing me and not the post generally.

When you quote me and answered, I thought you were addressing me.

Nothing personal. It is just the way I read it.

From post 26 of this link:

Good question - Why isn't the Bible more clear on some issues
Baptism:
1) Acts 2:38 can be said that Baptism regeneration is proper
2) Is pouring or sprinkling acceptable - or is immersion the only way
3) If a person cannot be immersion - then what?
Tongues: I Cor 14 gives the 3 rules for the gift of tongues - so it must be okay - if that gift only was to end ....?
Divorce: I Tim 3 says the husband of one wife - does that mean polygamy or divorce --- or both? Should the Bible be more clear
a cappella: Some believe if the Bible does not command - then we should not do so: does that mean no musical instrument?
and of course A vs C! (enoght said)
(what other doctrines can you think)

So why isn't the Bible more clear on these issues
The textus receptus clearly tells you to rightly divide the word of truth
Thank God correct doctrine is not what He requires for eternal life. None of us would make it if that were the case.

But yet we all can't even agree on how to be saved.

I believe the answer to all your questions here are found in the Scripture, I'm certainly not saying that I have all the correct answers.

But the one I'm most concerned with and have spent my adult life confirming in heart and soul is my salvation.

I believe everything as far as doctrine will fall in place once that critical decision is made.
saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ not of yourselves so that no man may boast

I remember a quote from my mentor (although he was not the first person to say it, just the first person to say it to me):

”The first thing is to keep FIRST THINGS, first.”

It seems to me that those issues that the Bible is less clear on, are clearly not FIRST THINGS. As the Moravians stated: “Unity in essentials, Liberty in non-essentials, Charity in all things”

Is how one is baptized the reason why God saves or damns?
Will speaking in tongues (or not) be the thing that makes us Christ-like?
Is divorce the unpardonable sin? Is it even the serious sin?
Will musical instruments in church (or banned from church) draw the lost to Christ?

My mentor shared that “undergraduates” debate soteriology, and “graduates” debate love. I must be getting old … because I find it harder every year to care enough to argue about “predestination and free will”, and I find it easier to care about people and wanting them to KNOW (with the same absolute certainty that I have) the LOVE of Christ and the freedom that comes from His grace (unmerited favor).

JESUS and LOVE and GRACE are not subjects that the Bible is unclear about or lacks information on.
