Hmmm...I need to look up JoJ's for comparison...anyone remember where that link might be?

Because mine use the Law of God to draw conviction of sin.
So the "What Must I Do To Be Saved?" tract says:
Of course, you do not deserve salvation. There is nothing you can do that will make you worthy of it. You cannot be saved by keeping the Ten Commandments, for the Scripture clearly shows that you have not kept them. Romans 3:20 says:

"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

The same thing is told in Galatians 3:11 which says:

"But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."

Many, many Scriptures repeat again and again that there is no salvation through human goodness.

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."—Titus 3:5.
Is this not using the Law of God to draw conviction of sin?

It did not need to be removed as it was quite accurate.
Some edit and modify posts when they do not like the truth contained in them.....I told you that happened months ago, but you did not believe it then......now you see it firsthand.

Actually you said entire posts were removed with no explanation or indication that they had been edited.

I think that Iconoclast believes that anything deleted or edited is beyond retrieval so he can make any claims his agenda desires. But anything that I have "deleted" has only been removed from public view. Anything that I have edited (from a select few) was "reported" so that there would be a record of the original post prior to any edit. The Administrators and moderators can (and hopefully will) examine those posts and address the situation.

Ultimately what we have (in my opinion) are a few people trying to control this forum. They have gloated about bringing about the activity of one moderator, and will continue to seek victory for their agenda if left unchecked.

Yes, I think you are correct. I notice a couple of posters here whine about their posts being removed as if they were devastingly written uber persuasive posts that no one could possibly rebut. If only they hadn't been deleted!

I read this forum most days in near to "real time" and I see no evidence of posts being removed.

That is also true.....all of the above....it has happened both ways....we are recording the posts for when it happens...we can now show it....because those guilty of it deny it

This is my take on the situation.

There are a few people on this forum who have such a narrow view of doctrine that they cannot understand a difference of interpretation except within the context of ignorance or willful disobedience to God’s Word. This group has an agenda and a desire to make the BaptistBoard the narrow and bigoted form of Christianity that it holds, and to do so at all costs. These people do not seem to believe it is a sin to falsely accuse others if it forwards their agenda (the ends justify the means mentality).

That is what is going on here. These people have been abusive, tossed out insult after insult along with numerous false allegations against those who would dare oppose their clique.

For my part, I agree with most of what they hold as doctrine (my soteriological beliefs are Calvinistic in what I affirm) but am strongly opposed to their abusive conduct to others. People can disagree yet still be intelligent, understand the issues, and be submissive to the Word of God. This labels me as having an agenda (these guys once hounded me with “dislikes” because I “liked” a post by revmwc).

As a moderator, I will continue to delete and/or edit posts that I believe are abusive towards others (including abusive to me). I will continue to “report” them or “delete” by removing them from public view so that there is a record for the administrators to view. And I will not submit to the bullying and claims that all who wanted me as a mod now regrets the decision because frankly I don’t care. This is not a paid position. Everything I’ve “deleted” and/or edited can easily be undone by an Administrator if they see fit.

But personally I believe that the members here should appeal to the administration to do something about this group. People like them (regardless of theological viewpoints) are the reason so many have left.

So now your true agenda surfaces...just like everyone said....even if you edit the posts. ...lol

We can and have shown you....but you do not want to see.
Jonc like dhk removes the posts....he changes words, you are drinking the kool aid

[Edited for clarification: Moderators may (and should) remove inappropriate content and delete posts from public view. This is a Christian forum. The solution is to police your own posts so that moderators and administrators don't have to.]

Oh the irony, the gang that hides behind their closed forum complaining the moderation here.

You have never shown me anything. How about a link to the posts that you are talking about? If not that, just repost your stuff. I'm sure you saved it.

I really don't think DHK and JonC are afraid of your posts, so why would they delete them?

I have not read his tract.
Then how can you make the statement that the ones you use are more effective?

You've just admitted that your opinion is worthless. You claim superiority while admitting you have nothing to compare with.

Time to put you back on ignore.

Unfortunately this is true.

As to the OP I do believe the initiation of this guaranteed heaven if you say a prayer is some 150 - 200 years old. The new FGT has adopted this stance in their teaching that heaven is a person's no matter what, if they've said the prayer. Scripture begs to differ. :)
