Such a terrible expression to place on scripture.That is a poor, poor interpretation.
The it in that passage refers to both salvation and the gift required to secure it!Ephesians 2:8-9
Then how is it that all men have been dealt a measure of faith?The it in that passage refers to both salvation and the gift required to secure it!
No, it's because you have a poor, poor interpretation.Sure, because it doesn't fit your theology. Our faith is in the gospel. That is what saves us.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
1 Cor 15:3-4
If we believe in our heart (the gospel) and declare with our mouth our faith, we will be saved.
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
The death, burial and resurrection is what Peter preached time and time again and is what we need to put our faith in.
Act 2:23-24; Acts 2:31-33; Acts 4:10-12;

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.Is his interpretation now considered scripture? My goodness, no wonder you are struggling.
Yes, but WHO are all of these wonderful NT verses of exhortation referring to?Yes, he authored our faith by dying on the cross and he finished our faith by being resurrected
and is now sitting on the right hand of the throne of God. It's all right there in the verse.
Classically taken out of context.Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Yes, but WHO are all of these wonderful verses of exhortation referring to?
Do they refer to BACs who choose to be partakers of habitual sin?
Is such a person really still "in Christ" for whom there is NO condemnation?
How many NT passages would you care to see?, which say that
all sinners (habitual or otherwise?) will not only be shut out of
the kingdom of God, the New Jerusalem, the Book of Life, etc.
... but will be cast into the Lake of Fire!
Yes, but WHO are all of these wonderful verses of exhortation referring to?I'm failing to see what your post has to do with
Jesus being the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2.
That's what I was talking about.

He made a comment and interpretation in the comment I responded to. You are free to find his specific comment and my response and quote them for me.In the light quoted;

No, not everything is taken out of context. But the Judge lest you be judged verse is almost always out of context when invoked.According to you everything is taken out of context
even how you interpret what I write.

The good news is that Jesus died for sinners, was buried and rose again so that sinners might be raised from death to life.Specifically, what about my interpretation is poor?
Do we not place our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus? Is this not the gospel? Isn't Jesus (God) the founder of the gospel?
Out of context. Quit abusing scripture and misusing it for your own vain glory.Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Only those whom God makes alive in Christ, by His grace, and gives the gift of faith, will believe. Everyone else will consider it foolishness.
If you have been given faith to believe, rejoice and give praise to God for His gracious kindness toward you.
