The it in that passage refers to both salvation and the gift required to secure it!
Then how is it that all men have been dealt a measure of faith?

Rom_12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
When we hear the gospel our faith is always strengthened.

Sure, because it doesn't fit your theology. Our faith is in the gospel. That is what saves us.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
1 Cor 15:3-4

If we believe in our heart (the gospel) and declare with our mouth our faith, we will be saved.
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The death, burial and resurrection is what Peter preached time and time again and is what we need to put our faith in.
Act 2:23-24; Acts 2:31-33; Acts 4:10-12;
No, it's because you have a poor, poor interpretation.

Is his interpretation now considered scripture? My goodness, no wonder you are struggling.
In the light quoted;

No, it's because you have a poor, poor interpretation.

Specifically, what about my interpretation is poor?

Do we not place our faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus? Is this not the gospel? Isn't Jesus (God) the founder of the gospel?

Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Yes, he authored our faith by dying on the cross and he finished our faith by being resurrected
and is now sitting on the right hand of the throne of God. It's all right there in the verse.
Yes, but WHO are all of these wonderful NT verses of exhortation referring to?

Do they refer to BACs who choose to be partakers of habitual sin
(and the N. A. churches are full of these)?

Are such people really still "in Christ" for whom there is NO condemnation?

How many NT passages would you care to see?
which say ...
All sinners (habitual or otherwise?) will not only be shut out of
the kingdom of God, the New Jerusalem, the Book of Life, etc.
... but will be cast into the Lake of Fire!

Note: N. A. stands for Northern Afghanistan

I'm failing to see what your post has to do with Jesus being the author and finisher of our faith. Hebrews 12:2. That's what I was talking about.

Except for in the list of gifts of the Spirit, there are no Bible passages that directly state faith to be a gift from God.

But this comes to mind, ". . . according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. . . . " -- Romans 12:3.

He made a comment and interpretation in the comment I responded to. You are free to find his specific comment and my response and quote them for me.

According to you everything is taken out of context
even how you interpret what I write.

No, not everything is taken out of context. But the Judge lest you be judged verse is almost always out of context when invoked.

The good news is that Jesus died for sinners, was buried and rose again so that sinners might be raised from death to life.
Only those whom God makes alive in Christ, by His grace, and gives the gift of faith, will believe. Everyone else will consider it foolishness.
If you have been given faith to believe, rejoice and give praise to God for His gracious kindness toward you.

Out of context. Quit abusing scripture and misusing it for your own vain glory.

The language I'm hearing is a little bothersome. Faith is definitely a gift, at least in some sense, even from the classical arminian perspective. Wesley believed in a prevenient grace that made faith possible. I see it as a gift, in that it's not something I would not have conjured up on my own had God not reached down with grace.

I would think all sides of the Calvinist Arminian debate would agree on the basic idea that faith is a gift.

James 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

Now you are moving away from the conversation, just like you did yesterday. The verse in Hebrews 12:2, where it says Jesus is the "author and finisher of our faith" cannot be interpreted as "faith is a gift". Hebrews 12:2 says that Jesus is the object and the reason of our faith. We put our faith in what Jesus DID for us on the cross and the fact that he's been resurrected. That is what is being addressed in this verse, not that faith is a gift.
