My first one was a Lindsell study bible in the Living bible translation, and shortly afterwards, bought for myself a hardback Ryrie in Nas

The 1917 edition of the Scofield Reference Bible. I was between 15 - 17. Maybe 16. I received Christ as Savior in 1962 when I was 14.

In 1968 I got my Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Which become a very useful study tool.

Easter Sunday 1958 as a gift for believer's baptism, a 1917 Scofield Reference Bible.

67 years later I have my fourth copy as the others wore out. Actually broke apart, pages lost, faux-leather deteriorated.

"A Bible falling apart is usually owned by someone whose life isn't."

In addition to my KJV (Oxford 1769 revision) Scofield in my comment above, I have
an NASB MacArthur Study Bible
an ESV Reformation Study Bible
and a hardback NIV Study Bible

All add depth to my understanding a passage from
