1. All those said they were "Christian" weren't what I thought "Christian was.
2. The Deacons were elected because of "who" they were in the Community not because they were Spirit filled men.
3. My Preacher was a liar and plagiarist.
4. It wasn't my decision to be "saved" (best and worst)
5. Not everybody that says they love me really do.

1. Many who claim to be Christians show no evidence of the Lord at work in their lives.
2. Some churches deny the Bible, openly stating that they are not bound by an “out dated book”.
3. If you disagree with a belief of another Christian, they will pull out their “gospel hammer” and, with a few select verses, they will beat you into spiritual submission. I left a church primarily for this reason. There were questions I couldn’t even ask because my pastor would angrily ridicule me.
And woe unto to poor soul that dares ask a Calvinism/Noncalvinism question.
4. The fight between the various sections of the Baptist Church. (Southern, American, Independent, etc.)
5. Most church members just want to show up at church and coast into Heaven.

1. Salvation is not about men, much less about me.
2. There are “Christians” who believe they are “faithful to the Word” at the expense of their brethren.
3. It matters what Scripture means, but not what it means to me.
4. Theology can be an idol.
5. An unwillingness to change is an unwillingness to grow.

1. Some Christians believe that God creates people to doom them to Hell.

2. Same people believe this brings Him glory.

3. Some Christians believe that God is the originator of evil. It was all apart of "the plan."

4. Same people believe this bring Him glory.

5. Many, many, many theological positions outside the fundamentals of the Apostle's Creed, can be disseminated with a convincing argument.

Why don't you make this your signature. That way no matter what you post about you can get your anti-Calvinist point across. So when you post about some rabbit trail, your reader will still know you are lock stock and sold on the autonomy of man.

I did have a signature like that. Want to see it again? Here tis...

Entries from the Calvinist Dictionary:
All: The Elect
Altar Call: Blasphemous insult to God
Everyone: The Elect
The World: The Elect
Whosoever: The Elect

I would point out that this is primarily a Christian discussion forum, not a board about racism. As such discussing Calvinism is more germane than constant posts about racism.

Some Christians can be amazingly snarky
Aghast that some Christians insult the Mother of God
God is LOVE and so many find that offensive

The Prince of Darkness is riding on the coat tails of the modern world

Despite everything...God's Will will prevail.

Forgive me InTheLight, but I had just read what you had replied to Righteous Dude and I got heated. I shouldn't have and I'm sorry. Merry Christmas.

I don't knowwhat you said... Were you swearing at me?

Nope. I don't easily use "cuss" words. Sometimes if I really exasperated they pop out. But they would never come out in written words.

I was, as I posted to Blackbird, asking God to denounce those happenings you posted you had "found out". I found them terrible things to be happening.

1. My own weakness and inability to live sinlessly and always in God's will
2. Life as a Christian isn't a constant spiritual high
3. Some Christians are very conniving and un-Christlike when disagreeing with others
4. Some subjects divide believers, even families, unnecessarily
5. Church politics (people having very different ideas on what their church should be doing and never really getting past that discussion)

It has a lot to do with where I live brother....very Godless and postmodern. Coming to a theatre near you....but where sin abounds so does grace....I'm content with that brother.
