Yes, I know how Baptists really love the "flesh" (Gal. 5).

1Co_6:13 "Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. ..."

Php 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Php 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

And why are they the "enemies" and not friends of God?

What is truly amazing, is that I ask a serious question, for real Bible study, about the things of Heaven and of the future New Heaven/Earth, and what do I get from many Baptists? They want to discuss imaginary things, things of their own carnal desire, and the things of this present fallen earth. It really goes to show what is upon the hearts, as out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh, and out of the heart are the issues of life.

The Bible has so many wonderful things to say about the future hope, and yet, where are the minds and desires of those who presently call themselves "christian"?

I just hope that Truett Cathy is re-negotiating to keep his spot for Chick-Fil-A in Heaven!

Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body [I Corinthians 6:13].

So are you questioning the salvation of Deacon?

Bub you can come on this site and play your silly games all you want. I can tell you that questioning the salvation of board members will ensure you do not last much longer on this board. I suggest you find your peace when you respond to others posts and grow up. You in fact did question Deaons salvation simply because you did not like his post. Maybe its time for you to move on.

You frequently question board members salvation. Not sure why administrators allow your continued presence here. Maybe you should respect the rules of the board if you want to continue to proselytize here
Oh, yeah, that's another rule you break regularly.

Proverbs 17:22
Good verse:

Pro 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Moreover, when we eat and drink to the glory of God, by heeding His laws of health in diet, here is the reward:

Pro 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Pro 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Pro 3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
Pro 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Pro 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Do you know why bone cancer, and blood cancer, etc exist? Did you know that Leprosy is directly linked to eating that which is porcine (most common), and other such unclean animals (less common, as most do not eat things like armadillo), due to the flesh being filled with larvae (Trichinae), bacteria (Mycobacterium leprae), etc?

"... In 1428 the master and Governor of the leper hospital sued the sworn butchers of Troyes for default of their annual gift of twenty-five bacon pigs, and they were ordered, instead of the contribution in kind, to pay to the hospital in every future year ..." - NYTimes, August 25, 1889, Page 11
It can also bring on depression by the waste that such things leave in the system, and by depression, can affect the very marrow of the bones.

Yet, I would like to stick to specifically scripture references at this time. For instance:

Isa 65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

Eze 28:26 And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

Amo_9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

Eze_47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Rev_22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

There will be no animal death (even as there is none in Heaven (3rd) now):

Isa_11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Isa_65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

I even tried to help TCassidy by providing him all the information he needed, but he refused to listen. I truly believe that if he had listened, God would have given him a few more years, like king Hezekiah:

Isa 38:9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

Isa_38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Isa 38:21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

Yet, he has gone to his rest. However, love, inspires to speak the truth. For instance, like those still smoking, what physician could hold a clean conscience and a pure heart if they did not tell a patient dying of lung cancer, or of throat cancer to cast away the very cause of their misery? Yet that is what many do today. They say "Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled" and do not provide that which is needful for their health and well being, and this because many are ignorant, and many more are willingly so, yet it need not be.

1 Cor. 6;13 Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.
Do you understand the verse?

It says that God will destroy those who say "Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food", as they deny God's Sovereignty over that which He made (the stomach, and food). Thus, since they cling to their 'god' (their bellies), not only will their false corrupted (through diet) thinking and saying be destroyed, so too will they who say it, teach it, practice it, as they rejected God's way.

1Co_6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

The saying of men, "Meats [foods; k.Gr. βρωματα] for the belly, and the belly for meats [foods; k. Gr. βρωμασιν]" is not approved of by Paul, but disapproved, through the negation, by his use of the words "but God ..."

The "it" [k.Gr. ταυτην; D-ASF] refers to the saying. The "them" [k. Gr. ταυτα; D-APN] refers to those who say "it" and practice that false philosophy. The saying is more than likely a Stoic dictum, as others that Paul deals with in Corinthians.

God is not saying He is going to do away with eating food, or the stomach of the redeemed.

God said He WILL do away with food & stomachs, & that settles it.

You actually think death will be existent in Heaven and in the New Heaven/Earth?
I expect there will be spiritual "replicators" like on Star Trek to provide whatever would give us joy. But since we all have "eternal life, and cannot perish, food and drink will be unnecessary for sustenance but available for joy.

Another verse pointing away from any need for food and drink, Revelation 7:16
