I doubt the verity of this report.I know someone who took his family swimming at the beach. He and his sons wore long pants and loose fitting shirts. His wife and daughter wore long dresses. He bragged about how modest they had been.
I mentioned the difficultly of swimming in loose clothes, and the hazzards of ocean currents. He didn't care about danger to his family, as long as he could very publlicly show off his "modesty".
Yep, it's sad that Muslims are nearly the sole voice for modesty in public places.
Personally, I do not care if I ever see another beach or swimming pool. Having grown up on a coast, and spent some time in the Navy, I like to travel to deserts and mountains.
So, is this modest enough?
Hey, no problem. Any state that sent us George W Bush an Lyndon Baines Johnson gets exactly what it deserves.Welcome to Central Texas. Please forgive the expansive beaches that once were water-lapped shores.
Yes, it's modest enough. And for all those whose lively-hoods depend on the water, fishing, fishing equipment, bait, boats, water-craft rentals, etc., please find a smiley where you turn out bloody when you hit the sand below the bridge. Thanks for demeaning our problem here in Central Texas and showing the world your Christian attitude towards us. We really appreciate the fact that you think it's funny that we are losing money and our lively-hoods here. Keep up the good work! Your friend, Bob. P.S. Whenever you get a chance, let me show you the deeper holes around the Colorado river. You ought to get a kick jumping off the bridges there.

YOU HAVE PUBLICLY CALLED ME A LIAR. I take great offense at that. You were not there. You don't know me or the person to whom I was speaking.
I have no need to defend my statment. I was there for the entire conversation.

Yes, I doubt that he was boasting and that he didn't care for the safety of his family. I believe you are painting him blacker than he is.
The character of your protest reinforces that thought in my mind.
Bye. :type:
Yep, it's sad that Muslims are nearly the sole voice for modesty in public places.
After discovering the rules at Thornton Heath one Croydon resident, 34-year-old Alex Craig, said: "I think it is preposterous that a council should be encouraging this type of segregation over municipal facilities.
"Surely if Muslims want to swim then they should just turn up with their modest swimwear at the same time as everyone else."
Douglas Murray, director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, last night condemned the practice. He said: "This kind of thing is extremely divisive.
"Non-Muslims see these extremist demands as an example of Muslims wanting things to fit into their lifestyle, when there aren't similar things organised for Hindus, Buddhists or Jews.
