Why are we getting these pictures of barely dressed women, displaying thier atributes, in the upper left hand corner of the screen all the time??

It says up there "A new HOT girl every minute."

Cant the powers that be get rid of it?

I don't get them, I usually get ads for where I have been surfing. I'm not acussing you of surfing questionable websites but maybe someone else has been on your computer surfing?

I few years ago my wife and I visited a fairly legalist IFB church. Dress code and all.

And we were shocked that during Sunday School the pastor's wife said something about divorced people who remarry are "living in sin". I dont understand that "living" part, I mean if a person makes a mistake in his first marriage, asks for forgiveness and is forgiven, should he divorce his second wife and leave his kids and go back to the first wife? If we are forgiven then how are we living in sin.

But that wasnt the biggest shock of all. After the service she came up to us and introduced herself as the "pastor's wife".

Well, she was wearing a skirt that went below her knees......but it had a slit all the up her thigh!!!!

Is that a double standard or what?

Anyway, that is who I thought of when I saw the ads you are speaking of.

Did it start after the thread of "...is not the problem" started? It may be picking up on that word. some ads are based on your browsing habits and some are based on this site. The ones here are based on this site.

oh, get ad block. no more ads.

Well, I dont peruse "questionable websites" so its not that.

These women are not nude. I think its one of these christian dating sites. But some of these women are going a little overboard. On this post I dont have one.

It's on my screen, too. Definitely NOT a Christian site. It's a p*rn site.

Well, at least I'm not the only one.

It ticks me off a little this can happen.

There are some TV commercials that are practically p*rn as well. Our society is sick, sick, sick.

OK, I've had Google Chrome for a while but rarely use it. I just went in through Chrome and downloaded Ad Block. It took all of 30 seconds. Coming into the BB now through Chrome, I don't see any ads.

They did ask for a donation and said that using Ad Block was all on the honor system. What's up with that? I skipped that portion.

I've seen those ads here, too. I wonder if it has any connection to all the trolls we've had on BB lately? Maybe they're spamming the board with bad posts AND bad ads?

I've had no such ads that I noticed until you pointed that out. Until then, I'd have agreed that what you browse typically is what you see, but I have too many safeguards on this particular computer and the ability to see every single thing ever viewed, yet I saw that same ad when I clicked on your thread.
That really surprised me.

I put on ad-blocker and now it's all good.

The internet is something that is tough to control. When we see ads like that, we need to report them to the owner. He can't see what is going to go up and there's no way to have complete control, but from what I've seen, he's always found a way to take care of it once it is brought to his attention.

That's part of using the internet. It's like watching television...you don't know what company is suddenly going to decide to throw an inappropriate ad out there.

Be cautious, guard your heart no matter the what or where. I'm glad I'm not a guy, that has to be tough to deal with for a lot of guys to have that in your face everywhere. When it comes to that type of stuff, this world definitely makes pure minds tougher on guys than girls!
