Crouch said that the university did not want to be associated with Coulter's reputation for being "mean-spirited."

"We began to have second thoughts of the image that [Coulter] portrays in some of her presentations," Crouch said. "We have not criticized her conservative philosophy. Our concerns were with the manner in which she puts forward her ideas."

"I felt that Coulter's protocol and her way of handling herself did in no way befit a Christian university," said Wiser, who graduated from Harding in 2000. As a Harding student, Wiser was president of the American Studies Institute. The American Studies Institute sponsors the lecture series to which Coulter was invited

Ann Coulter's greatest asset is being popular at being unpopular. It will keep her employed at Fox for a while longer.

Daisy, I have been to more places than just NY and Montana. N.Y.C. is easily the unfriendliest place I have ever been.
It's a big city with many, many parts. The subway during rush hour stinks, but Battery Park in the evening can be enchanting. It all depends on where you go and when as well as your attitudes & expectations.

When I was in Paris, the particular people I met were very nice to me so I think, "Parisians are wonderful!". In Brussels, no one spoke to me so I think, "Bad place". When my family lived in Houston, I was younger than the neighborhood bullies while my brother was older than they - so for me Houston was a place to get beat up, for him it was a place of good friends. A lot of it is the luck of the draw.
