What's with the statue of Peter in St. Peter’s Cathedral?

You have absolutely no clue, do you? This has absolutely no bearing on why I spoke up and why others have. You seem to not care about PEOPLE. And with that attitude, PEOPLE will pay little attention to what you have to say.

As to the alleged personal attacks, please point out which ones were false. I am amused that you get upset over my assessments of your actions displayed here. If I have made up something false about you, I will gladly take it back and apologize. If not, maybe you shouldn't be so worried about "personal attacks," but your attitude a little more.

I do care about people; however, I care more about their souls then I do what they think of me.
I say what needs to be said and if that "seems" uncaring, oh well----I'm NOT a people pleaser when it come to GOD's truth. I use no bad language.

Needless to say that I feel that it is because of people like yourself that the Christian Church
degenerated into the ROMAN CATHOLIC church of the DARKAGES. And it because of obinions like YOURS the many in the Anglican church kept quiet until it was too late...

I am a denomination? Hmm...wow, I did not know that! Again, seeing as you know nothing about me, your assessment is rather presumptuous. I can guarantee you that my seminary I attend is not worried about offending people and just being social workers. So, you can rest assured, you feelings are misleading you in this assessment as well. And what are you talking about fates? Of who? What fate? Why me?

And please, remember, if I was worried about not offending people, I wouldn't have said anything to you in the first place, because it is obvious I have offended you.

By the way, since you brought up social work, do you think Jesus did anything like that because he cared for people and to get their attention? Is social work evil? Or, just perhaps, by doing something good for someone or not trying to be unnecessarily offensive, a person may be more responsive to your message?

Hey, I absolutely agree with you. I am sure that most of our Catholic brethern here would as well! In fact, on another thread here, a Catholic said that works do not save a person. I guess we can't accuse them of believing that any longer, can we?

Not in the sense I am talking about offensive. He did not say, "Peter, you sure are ugly and I really don't want you to be a follower of me because of your bad looks."

Try as you will, but you are not Jesus Christ. Try as you will, Jesus was not unnecessarily offensive and use false arguments against others.

Funny that you bring up the verse about being hated by others. If we go by this board, the Catholics are the real Christians, hands down.

They call out to dead saints to speak to GOD on their behalf.

They invent words such as Medeatrix to circumvent
the one and ONLY mediator between GOD and man----
Jesus Christ.

Look, the statue is U G L Y to me. If that hurts your feelings, I'm very sorry. I do hope you grow up and get over it. Haven't you ever read the 12th chapter of Mark's Gospel? If not, I encourage you to do so. Pay special attention to Jesus' response with regard to the resurrection question.

Minor Premise: A living Christian can intercede for me before the throne of Jesus Christ. See 1 Tim 2:1.

Major Premise: The saints who went before us are living (however, their bodies are lifeless here on earth at present). See Mark 12:27.

Conclusion: The saints in heaven can intercede for me.

Also, we see this very intercession of the saints who are alive right now in heaven in the Book of Revelation, which shows scenes in heaven and how they correspond with historical events on Earth.

 

Well at least you are man enough to admit that your judgemental and hurtful words here have been sinful.
