We use to go to the local corner store--the one were my uncle and friens would sit around the wood stove and chew tobacco and talk--you could get a "cole-coler" for a nickel and a gallon of gas for .25!! Not no more!! No more chewin' tobacco at Wal-Mart--you'll get your self run out of the store!! Gone are the days when you could walk into the store and tell the fella "I want a 'Thing-ah-ma-jig' that fits this here part I tore off of my hot water heater!!" Nowadays, its--"You tore what?? Sir, that part'll have to come all the way from Japan!! No, not Japan! Hong Kong!!"--so you wait for the ship to come in--and guess what--the part is a half size too small!! Dad-gum!!
