What's your favorite Historical Fantasy/Dream?

One of mine is diving for buried deep sea treasure & my favorite Shipwreck is The Atocha.

The Atocha was a Spanish treasure ship that sank in 1622, just two days after leaving port. Down with the ship went a fortune in silver and gold bars, emeralds, personal jewelry, along with hundreds of thousands of treasure coins.

Spain searched for its ship for 70 years before finally giving up. Not until 1985 was the treasure of the Atocha rediscovered by Mel Fisher and his dedicated team. The find did not come easily -- it was at the expense of 16 years of planning, almost $10 million dollars in equipment, and the lives of three divers.
This page tells the story of the dangerous search and amazing discovery of the Atocha.

Has anybody besides me ever wished they were treasure hunters, looking for sunken treasure, discovering something that has been buried under the sea for many years & to be the first to look upon it again?

What's your favorite historical fantasy/dream and have you ever lived it/done it?

I enjoy travel and envision myself as seeing all the great centers of history. Well, not all, of course, but a whole bunch!

Still have many to go, but I'm working hard at fulfilling that dream! I've already stood on:
Pyramids in Egypt
Parthenon in Athens
Colosseum in Rome
Great Wall in Beijing
Kremlin in Moscova
Temple Mount in Jerusalem
Pearl Harbor in Hawaii
Countless sites in the USA

I've always had this fantasy of being able to live out an entire lifetime in 10 different historical ages. For example, being a young Roman boy during the years of Caesar.

Or, being a member of a raiding party on a Viking ship.

Or, a court servant during the height of Egypt's power.

Or a musician during the royal period in Japanese history.

It would have been fascinating to have been with Cortes in the Aztec city of Tenochtitlan, prior to hostillities with the natives. The Spaniards were there, as guests, for three or four months before fighting broke out.
