When to confront a pastor

You still on this kick? Holy freaking cow! When are you going to [act like] a Christian, and step out of the ministry, and get a job to pay your debts and provide for your wife?

And for the last time, learn the freaking rules of grammar! WHOM is objective, and WHO is nominative. "I was chatting with a certain Christian counsellor WHO graduated . . ." not WHOM! Maybe God would be more attentive to your prayers for your wife's conversion if you didn't offend His ears!

Aaron you need quality time with this animal!

Interesting how it was Evan who derailed his own thread.
Of course, we do understand why he did so - he was given solid advice - which he does not agree with - and thus goes off on his usual tangents.

What is that wise saying ? DONT FEED THE TROLLS.

The Calvinist pastor never rebuked me for doing what I did.

I fail to understand how this is relevant. Could you elaborate?

So when should you confront a pastor and how should you do it? What if the pastor refuses to listen to you in private but continues to say false things about Calvinism, Lordship Salvation, and other biblical doctrines? What say you?

When you are the member of a church you may certainly ask to meet with him to discuss your concerns. If your attitude is to "confront" him if he meets with you then it will most likely not be a fruitful.

Honestly it seems you are constantly on the look out for a reason to confront someone. What you need to understand is that you are in the minority at that church. You do not get to set doctrine by yourself. Your confrontational attitude only creates hostility and disunity. Quite frankly based on what you have posted about things at that church and your attitude I would not tolerate you at all. In fact any further "confrontation" would be seen as an attempt to create disunity and I would begin the process of church discipline on you.

If you do not like the doctrine of the church then you need to leave and find another church. I would also caution you to be aware of how all of this dissension you are trying to create may effect your marriage.

You spend more time worrying about your version of the truth than you do about the people involved. Your approach to all of this is completely unbalanced. As a result you are creating problems that are unnecessary.

I understand Evan's reaction to some of Aaron's post (it was a bit personal, but Evan also airs the personal on this forum). What the moderators need to do, however and IMHO, is deal with these animal picture responses. Not just because they are they immature (I don't think that maturity is a requisite to post here) but because such replies are offensive (even when no one is actually offended) and deflective. More and more people seem to respond to Evan's character in posting than what is actually posted, and I believe this is because such nonsense has gone on for so long (and granted, Evan never sees a dialogue to it's end....thousands of posts with no conclusion).

FTR, I posted the picture of the laughing kangaroo because:

1. Evan has been begging me to post a kangaroo picture.

2. Like Evan posting pictures of rabbits, I thought a laughing kangaroo was an appropriate response to his OP.

So was having problems with baby chicks dying, and I couldn't catch the culprit. So I moved a rabbit into a different cage, and moved the chicks to the rabbit cage.

Couple of days later, I'm putting feed in the cage for the chicks, and I realize: That stick underneath my arm is NOT a stick. After I got over the heebie-jeebies of being that close to a 6' rat snake, I exterminated said snake. Some might say, non-venomous and eats rodents; well, he didn't react to me feeding the chicks because he was lethargic from having just ingested one of the chicks. Snake had to go.

Also explains why the egg production was down. Used to get up to a dozen eggs a day; have only been getting 2-5 over the last few months.

All that build-up to share: 2 more 4-foot snakes in the barn last night; and a 3-footer this morning. Suffice to say, there are several new holes in the barn walls...thinking I'm gonna need to buy a Taurus Judge 'cause I'm tired of carrying the shotgun out to the barn....

Edited to add: What does any of this have to do with anything in this thread? Well, I did mention that I moved a rabbit out of it's cage, and with all the talk about rabbits, there's a relation to posts in the thread....
