April...don't let it confuse you. Just read your Bible and do as the Lord would have you to do. These are only labels.

With my home church's spiritual DNA going back to 1881, we were Fundementalist before Fundementalism was fun. To me, Conservative and Evangelical are null terms in defining my sphere of fellowship. Liberal or Modernist in the classic sense do mean something and I don't think many here fall into either category. Now if we're talking about any or all of those words with lower case letters, then they start to be usable with the folks I'm talking to.

As for there being no Fundemental Baptists in Canada, I remember Harry Strachen from Simcoe, Ont. and Jake Johnson out of Calgary. They and their ilk may have been standing out in the cornfield somewhere, but they were Fundementalists and they were most definitly Canadian. Quoteing Pastor Strachen
I'm a Baptist. Why? Because it was John the Baptist, not John the Methodist, John the Presbyterian, or John the Church of Canada
Mind you, Pastor Strachen said the above with a smile.

DD, a moderate may be just another name for a person who has the humility not to [want to] attack her or his sister or brother, a fellow member of Christ's body, just for the glory of seeming in his or her own eyes to be one of the last 7,000 truly faithful or whatever. Moderates, by and large, do not disagree with any of the so-called exclusive claims of Christ. (To tell the truth, neither do most liberal Christians disagree with the Bible passages per se, though they will justly abominate much of your application of them.) On the other hand, your attitude may merely indicate that you not only don't lack spine, but have such a stiff one it keeps both your neck and your tongue from an attitude of charity.
